Replacement for 1950s Metal Oil Can
Dropped my 50s-era metal oil can damaging seams to point now leaking heavily. This 8qt Lisle is just inside ballpark of similarity. Spout is at top, metal can was at bottom. I can see the spout collar / nut breaking, looks like can be replaced with common nut used on sink continuous waste plumbing fixtures. So far, has held up through multiple oil changes. Don't like having to tip so far compared to old can, but also doesn't let oil flow if dropped fill spout either like on my old one. 2 oil changes, 15qts and 8qts, made me decide I needed something more again than using bottles. This plastic can works well. I foresee the raw plastic (ldpe / hope/ nylon) breaking down from being in UV from sunlight / fluorescent / mercury lights. Will be painting mine with a UV protectant or spray paint designed for plastics. You know which brand, starts with a K but not the planet Krypton. When painting, will be leaving strip along graduations to make it easier to fill. Old can was difficult to see level, as numbers started from bottom as 10, and top was 1. Must have been intended since spout was on bottom. This 8qt is much easier to see how much oil is inside to pour into engine, or on floor. 8qt Lisle also is resilient. Dropped mine with 6qts oil. Didn't fall on spout initially, but it did bounce up a few inches a couple times after oil content was sloshed across the floor. I don't think lid is intended to stay on, looks more like a dirt / dust cover. I'm sure it would have slowed the distance oil was thrown... if I was using it. Cost was higher than I wanted, but is somewhat of a niche product without resorting to watering can for plants. Unfortunately, metal cans cannot be found, but this plastic one approaches durability.

All around great! Super handy in an automotive environment.
Works beautifully! Makes filling from bulk sources much easier with the quart and liter markings. The spout cap and lid are removable making it useful for just about every application! It's good quality plastic, does not deform easily, and the seal on the spout is nice and tight!

Good, but super heavy when full.
It's a nice dispenser but be aware of how heavy it is when full. 8 quarts of oil is about 14-15 lbs. I should have bought a smaller one for the 2 quarts I need after I pour in a whole 5 quart jug.

Convenient and Stylish Dispenser for Any Kitchen
This dispenser is a game-changer for my kitchen setup! ๐ With its 8-quart capacity, it holds a ton without taking up too much space. The lid and cap are super handy - no more spills or messes. It's just so sleek and modern in white, adding a nice touch to my countertop. I use it for all sorts of liquids, from cooking oil to water, and it works like a charm every time. ๐ Plus, cleaning is a breeze! I just pop it in the dishwasher and it's good to go. I can't recommend this dispenser enough - it's truly a must-have for anyone who loves to cook or bake! ๐

Awesome 8Qt quick pour oil can!
Works great for holding a little less than 8 quarts. Anything over 7.5 it really likes to splash around. Included lid disappeared into the void after a week, but very happy with how fast it pours. Easy to clean with solvent, just a rag and some brake clean. Only gripe is with the included flex nozzle. works great for pouring into valve covers that block direct overhead access but likes to hold some residual oil from the design of the neck. Makes a little bit of a mess. Owned one of these for 5 years before it left with a customerโs vehicle, hoping for another 5 years of great usage!

Durable and Convenient for Oil Changes
I recently used the Lisle 19702 Oil Dispenser during an oil change on my truck, and it made the process significantly easier. The 8-quart capacity was perfect for my vehicle's requirements, and the translucent polyethylene material allowed me to easily monitor the oil level. The included spout cap and lid kept the oil clean by preventing contaminants like dust and dirt from entering the dispenser.

Itโs good
Great high capacity oil fill. Seems pretty accurate as far as I can tell and the long spout helps when you donโt have a funnel handy

Make the task so easy.
It's not just a jug. This is a cheap insurance policy. Filling an engine crankcase is the time you must BE PERFECT . Installing the exact amount. A little bit extra will cause the crankshaft to foam the oil. Not Good.

Great jug! Doesn't leak.

Good jug.
You need to drill a small hole in the centre of the black lid.
