Leggett & Platt AirDream Hypoallergenic Inflatable Mattress with Electric Hand Pump for Sleeper Sofas, 60" Queen

The Leggett & Platt AirDream Inflatable Mattress is the best mattress you can sleep on with any sleeper sofas. My husband and I have a combination of back, hip and shoulder issues. We had a top of the line sleeper sofa in our motorcoach and yet we could not sleep on the mattress that came with it, name brand or not, we could still feel the works. So we tried sliding thin boards under the mattress. The mattress was still too thin and the boards broke after a week or two. Then we tried the thicker memory foam mattress that would fit the sleeper sofa and used new boards. Same problem because even at the highest density we could use and still have the mattress fold and store properly, it just did not work. By then my back was so bad we could not even drive home and I slept on the dinette bed and took my back meds until we could drive home. In the meantime I ordered the Leggett & Platt AirDream in queen size . We came home and put it in the motorcoach. Perfect. Restorative sleep. Back and bodies happier. That was a few years ago and never again will we suffer the sleeper sofa torture. We have since purchased another queen sized for the cottage sleeper sofa and now this double size for the new travel trailer which comes with a Tri-Fold sofa bed. Different torture so even though we can't store it inside the Tri-Fold we store it in the bedroom and take it out at bedtime. That way we can offer guests the Master bedroom and sleep in the great room so we can be up early and get breakfast going without disturbing guests. Works great. In Winter we use it in the house on the family room sleeper sofa. Perfect comfort for guests. We use the mattress daily for 6 months or more at the cottage. The bladder is replaceable so if something happens and it springs a leak you can't find, it's an easy fix. Also you can sleep on the mattress even with the bladder deflated and still not feel the works to much. We had an accidental piercing so we know. The padded cover is quite nice and gives it the feel of a regular mattress. No hype, it's not as perfect as my latex mattress at home but it's the best for the purpose. Your guests will love visiting and staying over. Great for seniors.

We had to sleep on our convertible sofa for a week while we waited for our new bed. It had the standard sleeper mattress on it. I had no idea the suffering we were putting our guests through. that mattress sucked. you could feel every bar in the frame. It was awful. I remembered that Jennifer Convertibles sold an exclusive air-topped mattress. Looking for that, I came across this mattress. It is amazing! It is a standard sleeper mattress with over oversized covering. On top of the mattress (but still in the cover) is an air mattress. Using the included pump, you simply unzip the cover, and screw in the pump. It inflates in under a minute. And it is FIRM. It is as comfortable as any standard mattress. Further, we had it inflated for three nights of sleeping, and it lost very little air. Since the air mattress is a separate piece, if something should happen to it, it is nice to know you can replace just the air mattress and not the whole mattress.The valve from the mattress comes off to allow quick deflation -- you leave it off when you fold up the couch, to ensure no air gets trapped in the mattress.Folding it up seems a little "tighter" than our old couch (there is more material) but it closed fine.This thing turned our sleeper sofa into a real bed. Thumbs up!

The mattress is very well designed with a coil spring base and air bladder over that, it is also wraped in a heavy duty old school mattress material with welting at the seams top and top and bottom, might add easy to inflate/deflate, fits and folds into the sofa sleeper nicely it's real comfortable and way better than the factory mattress. I would buy another if needed and nothing else, I am impressed. thank you.

This is by far, the best type of mattress to have for a pull out couch! No kink or springs poking through, girl and soft, quiet, and feels like sleeping in a real bed!

Not comfortable at all. Just an overpriced air mattress. Can feel the springs when inflated.

I bought this because I only have a small place and every once in a whole I have friends visit me. I was kind of embarrassed about having them sleep on my fold out sofa (eventhough its new) because of the "mattress" it had. When I saw this i figured it couldn't be any worse than what i had so i spent the "big bucks" and ordered it. Amazon shipped it a week ahead of schedule and when I unpacked it, I was not expecting the mattress I got. I tossed it on the sofa bed frame and then plugged in the pump. Once I figured out that the pump automatically turns on when you connect it to the inflation port, I watched as it rose to it's full glory. I jumped on it and I was amazed. It was way more comfortable than I had imagined and a thousand percent more comfortable than what came with the sofa. If you have guests that you only allow to sleep on the sofa bed because you know they will leave in a short ammount of time, then don't buy this because they will not have any excuse to leave sleeping night after night in this mattress. I am glad I took the chance on it and you will be to.

Decent air + coil mattress. Just the right size to put on top of a jackknife RV sofa.Supremely comfortable. Quick and easy inflation with provided pump. Actually apart from a built-in pump, it's the easiest inflation system I've used for an air mattress. Expose the nozzle, attach the pump on it and it automatically inflates. Remove the pump and it shuts off and the valve is closed.After a few months got some leaks in the air mattress. I had to patch them with the included patch kit until I got one too many. I've ordered "Coghlan's 8880 Airstop" to patch the hole and hopefully it will extend the life of the air mattress portion. You can sleep on the mattress without air in it, but it's not super comfortable.UPDATE: more leaks. Airstop work, but it's getting annoying.The holes all appear at the same place, stress point at the end of the "columns" where the inner support joins the mattress top.

Seems like a good product....no problems so far
