Leaders and floats last SO long, place float above ring.
Ends up, saving you a lot of money on leaders and floats.

More for your money.
When I first heard of tippet rings I thought they would weigh my leader and tippet down when I was dry fly fishing. Once I tried them I never looked back. What I like about this brand is that you get 100 pieces, many of the other brands gave much less for the same price.

So tiny
I haven’t used these yet they are a bit on the tiny side but I’m sure I’ll have a need for them. Trout are so spooky these will help

Does what it says
Yup works great on my Orvis 9 ft 5/6 fly rod setup as a nymphing rig. Already caught a 13" pike minnow on a chartruese wolly bugger helicopter spin head lure. Tippet to leader with one of these in between. Matter of fact, tippet got caught in river weeds, I pull to unsnag - the euronymph leader came back with the tippet ring no tippet or fly. Definitely does its job.PS plenty of these you wont run out unless your fishing shags.

Cuts your line
I was initially excited to find this deal, with such great reviews. However, they are cheaper for a reason. I tied multiple sizes of tippet to multiple rings and they cut the line every time. I used the conch knot as described above and it still broke off. I had even lost a fish with it cutting at the tippet ring, which was disheartening because I know the hook was still with our poor little fish’s mouth.I love the idea of tippet rings, but I would steer clear of these. Granted, there may be at least 10 good ones here, but it would take too much of my time to find them, knot by knot.

Decent rings, bad clips
Rings do have flat edges which will reduce the break test of line but it's not a sharp or jagged edge. The ring holders they come on are significantly more dainty than the ones in the picture(not even the same style holders at all). This wouldn't normally be an issue since I wasn't buying these for the ring holders except they are so dainty they do not even hold the rings on, and they are springy so the rings actually flick off the holders at times.

Excellent price for 100 rings! It’s a steal
Normally Rio and all other brands would price 10, yes ten, rings for around $10-$11. For a hundred rings at the same price tag, it’s a no brainer. 2mm is perfect for nymphing, and if you don’t care for frequently spending money on replacing your leaders, tippet rings are the way to go.For anyone who is on the fence about them, I’ve caught wild Appalachian brookies in the most remote areas of PA on dry flies with a tippet ring on. They do not affect anything in regards to presentation, and are so small they won’t even affect a dry fly presentation. Trust me, they’re worth it.
