Great Sound Quality Superb Tuning by Philips engineers Great flexibility ...
The sound system is underrated. This system deserves more credit than what it currently gets.Great Sound QualitySuperb Tuning by Philips enginnersGreat flexibilityMind boggling sound effectSupport DD, DDPlus which is a big plus while watching Netflix , Amazon or Vudu.Sounds great all aroundPros:1. Centre Speaker with 2 Speakers ( Racetrack) and Tweeter: This the one of the important choices made by Philips which enhances Speech / Dialog while watching movies2. 2 Front Speakers connected to Centre Speakers3. Wireless Subwoofer ( needs power cord connected )4. Wireless Rear Satellite Speakers ( Get connected to a supplied wireless receiver unit )5. Inputs include Optical-In, HDMI with 4kPassthrough, AuxIn which make a great choice of connecting to TV, BD Player and media Player6. BT Audio Connectivity aids to connect BT Devices and listen to BT audioWishlist:1. Philips engineers should pretune the the unit with front at higher gain than rears ( currently stock ships with all gains set to 0 )Cinema experience gets greats enhanced when Front Speakers are atleast +3dB higher in gain that rear.2. Subwoofer also needs a +3dB gain set by default3. Unit forgets BT Audio Connected devices and needs to resync to the same device everytime i connect it [ i which this bug gets fixed :) as this is annoying everytime I connect my phone]4. It would be great if we have different EQ modes with tunable EQs for 40 100 1000 3000 5000 10000Hz atleast ( I have a gut feeling the current HW already supports this )5. Would love to see if Philips decides to create a 7.1 CH Followup product for this system

poor quality
Horrible system. Automatically powers off in 15 min when there is no sound so you have to turn it on again every time. Also takes forever to turn on and if your tv auto switches to hdmi inputs it can get very annoying. Just buy something better you wont regret it

Setup is easy, the sound is quite nice for price and competition. However, it regularly stops producing sound and needs to be turned off and back on to restore sound. This might be only via the TOSLink, which we use with our TV. It is frustrating and would prompt me to return this product but it didn't start happening until 5months after purchase.Does anyone have any clues on how to troubleshoot?( thanks if so )

Wireless Zen: A Philips CSS5530B/37 Zenit Cinema Speakers Review
The Philips CSS5530B/37 Zenit cinema speakers, made in China, comes with the central sound bar, subwoofer, four satellite speakers, wireless box, power adapter, three power cords, wall mounting brackets, user manual, a quick start guide, and a remote control. Two satellite speakers connect to the central sound bar, while the other two satellite speakers connect to the wireless box which connects wirelessly to the central sound bar.Set-up begins with unpacking the box and laying the pieces out. I then placed the main components in their chosen location and began connecting power cords and wires. The satellite speakers and central sound bar include hardware for hanging if preferred. The satellite speakers include a wire spool on the bottom to store extra wire and keep an uncluttered appearance. There are two HDMI ports, one in and one out, an optical cable port, auxiliary cable port, and a USB port. The cables for these ports are not included and must be purchased unless you already have them on hand. Lastly, I connected the Bluetooth to my smartphone and tablet. There isn’t an automated sound correction option. The rear speakers being connected wirelessly may have a lag, which requires manual adjustment. The other speaker systems I’ve owned include a microphone and a sound correction function which adjusts the sound automatically. The Philips CSS5530B/37 Zenit cinema speaker system doesn’t have this option. Also, I have more than one HDMI device, and had to choose one or the other. The sound bar has ARC (Audio Return Channel) capability, however the TV must support both HDMI ARC and HDMI-CEC for audio to be heard through the speaker system. My TV doesn’t support HDMI ARC, so my alternate source cannot use the sound system without manually changing the cables. My favorite feature is the Bluetooth connectivity. I can turn on the speaker system and listen to audio from my smartphone or tablet with ease. My devices can connect quickly using NFC or through manual set-up.While the Philips CSS5530B/37 Zenit cinema speaker system provides good quality sound and is less complicated to set up, there are limitations which makes this system best for basic configurations. If you have multiple HDMI connected devices, this system will require an ARC capable TV to get the best use. Otherwise an alternate system may be your best option, and with a little more money may even sound better. Otherwise, the Philips CSS5530B/37 Zenit cinema speaker system is worth considering.PROS:HDMI 4K passthrough for ultra HDDolby Digital and Pro Logic IIHDMI ARC capableBluetooth connected listening1 year limited warrantyCONS:No automatic sound adjustmentOnly one HDMI in port
