American Hat Makers Cyclone Western Leather Cowboy Hat for Men & Women – Western Style

Beautiful hat. Well packaged, this thing ain’t getting damaged in transit! From the smell of leather when you open the box, to the satisfaction you feel when putting a finely crafted hat on your head, this thing rocks. If a guy from NYC can wear this hat living in OK AND get told, nice hat, by both Oklahomans and Texans, then you know it’s gotta be nice. It was more than I was wanting to spend but after putting it on and wearing it, I have ZERO regret.Unfortunately, I like it so much I am already looking at their other hats to add to my collection.P.S. Not Amazon prime shipping but, it got to my door just as quickly.

Looking for a leather hat to supplement my 20+ yr old Aussie kangaroo leather hat I ran across American Hat Makers hats. I was back and forth with the Cyclone or the Bison leather hat but decided I liked the look of the Cyclone better. It was a good decision (at least until I buy the Bison hat later). Order was placed on Jan 2nd with a delivery estimate of 13-15 Jan. It arrived on the 8th so thanks Amazon/American Hat Makers. The box was damaged so I expected the worst but it was packaged so well there was no damage to the hat. My measurement was right at 23" so I ordered a large. It was a little loose but a quick swap with the included size adjustments and it fits perfect. Being only familiar with the kangaroo leather I was surprised how thick and sturdy the Cyclone is. This hat should hold up to anything thrown at it. I am happy I bought it and will definitely look towards American Hat Makers for my next leather hat purchase.

I wear many western hats made by Stetson and other hat companies. I have just received my Cyclone, and I can safely say that the Cyclone not only looks but wears the best of all my hats. I need to say that I own approximately 20-25 cowboy hats both felt and straw. I give my highest recommendation for those looking for a cowboy hat. The cost is not a factor compared to the look and comfortable. I promise you that you will never regret buying a Cyclone. Great job American Hat Makers !!!!!

Best hat I own. I have several. I am allowed western wear at a professional job, so it has to be top quality. I get compliments on this hat several times a week. The quality is outstanding! The leather is supple but holds its shape. It is light for a leather hat, but not delicate. The wire in the crown and brim works perfectly. The pinch is better looking than the picture. I would call it casual, but looks good and professional with slacks and a button down shirt. Get a belt and boots that match the color and your set. I also love that it is water resistant. If all that wasn't enough, it's hand made in the USA. (Western wear should be from the US or Mexico) so, basically I'm saying if you can afford it buy it. It's my 2nd hat from this company and it's definitely not the last.

I am new to "cowboy" hats. I was very impressed with the quality (one star off due to a missed stitch... no biggie.)Sizing system: allows for modifying size. Works well and doubles as a sweatband. I immediately felt my balding head being protected from the weather. Brim shields my light-sensitive eyes very well. I would not hesitate to recommend the companies products. Go to their website for better information (and a possible discount.)

Overall an excellent hat, looks awesome, well made you could tell it's going to last for a long time. I am definitely glad I made the purchase.The only thing I would recommend is add a 3/4 size adjustment to your half and full size. I sewed the 1/2 and sweatband together to get what I needed. Otherwise you guys rock.

At the age of 75 I suddenly became obsessed by hats.Particularly cowboy hats.It is embarrassing to tell how many hours I spent going over everything over and over.Comparing hats from every available company.Finally the weight was off my shoulders.I had chosen the beautifully plain Cowboy model.I immediately changed my mind and wanted the Cyclone model.American Hat Makers cancelled my order and I quickly bought the Cyclone in Blacktop.In three days the hat was in my hands and on my head for a perfect fit with the fitting kit employed.I could not be happier with the hat and the company.

Sometimes you just have to treat yourself to the best and that it what I did with this hat. The fit is perfect and the craftsmanship is second to none. Get one, you won't be disappointed.
