Bone and Bear, two rough and tough bikers ride out from Sturgis, SD. to the marshes of South Carolina to help out their "bro" Ironbutt Garrett, who's land is being eyed by the money-grubbing, domineering Calvin Hogg. With the townspeople aghast at the "scooter-trash" invading Buford, the Sherriff, under the direction of Hogg, try to get the bikers out of town while they try to organize a "Wetland Run" aimed at making enough money to pay off the back taxes that threaten Ironbutt's claim to the land. Bear gets kidnapped by Calvin's over- zealous son Blue, and again it's up to Bone to save his buddy.

Biker Finds Love
Well, all I can say is that this movie is not really about "Bikers". It's about city slicker punks and how they give bikers a bad name. I've been a biker for years and involved in biker clubs, some good, some not so good, but, in both cases, they never came to "town" to do what city slickers in this movie project. Most biker gatherings are involved with "legal town concent" and done so well in advance and in a professional manner, i.e., Sturges, Lovelock, etc. In my opinion, this movie should be re-titled "Biker Finds Love". It's not about Running Cool, it's about surviving crap cops and crap people running a crap town. Sorry, but if you're a "real biker" you know exactly where I'm coming from. Long live HOGsters. Mick

Man this movie drew me in like a moth to a flame, and am i ever glad it did!
You get 4 xtras with this including the short The Making of Running Cool which i found to be very enlightening. This runs 106m great sound on the dvd menu and when the bikers roar into town!I just got this movie today,so i put it in my dvr just to watch maybe a few minutes of it,nope not gonna happen.I started watching the whole entire movie and i really liked it.Bone and Bear what a cool team,Blue got off easy i was hoping for a lot worse for him. When all those Florida bikers come rumbling into town,oh man awesome and powerful!Nice touch with the two town busybodies of Hattie and Ada,don't you know that the bikers were only trying to help you out of a difficult situation?I didn't even recognize Andrew Divoff as Bone until i also saw the making of this movie then it dawned on me that he played Ganz brother in Another 48HRS.I didn't like him in Another 48HRS but i liked him in this, now that's an actor.Would highly recommend this movie that has a great storyline to it and all the fine actors and bikers that made this movie what it is.Now this is one of my favorite biker movies, really hit home with me.I was ranting and raving at the tv screen during all of this,so i know that this is a great movie.

An Accidental Favorite.
I stumbled across this movie while trolling Amazon for a few other movies. It had some good reviews and a decent premise, so I took the bait. Besides it was pretty inexpensive, so what was really to loose, but a couple bucks. I spend that on rentals. I was not disappointed however and this move has been added to my "biker movie" library. Its a simple story about friends, family, and brotherhood. Kind of like watching an old episode of Dukes Of Hazard, but with BIKES! I have unsuspectingly obtained a new favorite for my "Biker Movie" collection.

Pleasantly Suprised
I don't remember where I first saw this movie, but I enjoyed it, the bikes, and how it breaks the stereotype of bikers being all bad. They show the wet T-shirt contest at the start of the movie so they can show bare breasts and get their R-rating, but after that, it is nudity free for anyone worried about watching it with their kids. The villain was one of those types that keeps getting his butt kicked and doesn't take the hint, but I think he finally did in the end. The only issue I have with the movie is the main theme, that being how Bone and Bear go down to help Ironbutt raise money for his property taxes. The put on a big bike run and loads of people come and they raise the funds. The problem is that during the story line where Bone and the local girl are getting to know each other, some of the guys give her what looks to be a Fatboy Trike. If they had just sold that one bike, the could have more than paid for the taxes. Of course, that would deflate the story with no need for the run so I understand why they didn't think of that. Wish this would come out on DVD. I had to digitize my old VHS copy and it is watchable, but no where the quality I would like.

When my copy arrived it turned out to be a home burn or possibly low production run with a stuck on paper label. However the quality is great (streets ahead of my recorded of late night TV onto VHS, played to death then latterly converted to digital copy) and there doesn’t appear to be a region coding on it, playing in my uk as well as my region 1 DVD drives. The film is one of the best biker movies out there and portrays a much truer picture of you average biker than all that SAMCRO stuff. We’re not all outlaws. It has all the elements for a good watch. The bad guy's get there comeuppance with some romance as well. It is a tale of a biker who loses everything and finds solace in the road. He heads off to help a fellow biker who is having difficulties with the local big business trying to force him off his land and finds romance with a local lass.It show nicely how bikers will rally round to help not just their brothers and sisters of the road but also other who are getting a raw deal and will stand up for what is right.Well worth a evenings viewing.
