I live in an apartment and didn’t want to put up an actual gate, so I decided to give this gate a try. It keeps my older Labrador out of the kitchen, he doesn’t try to run through it or jump over it (I think cause he’s older now). It was convenient and easy for me as I didn’t have to screw anything into a rental apartment! It’s definitely better for a calmer or older dog, definitely kept his anxiety level low as he could see what’s going on, perfect for us!

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! My family and I recently adopted a new puppy and we wanted to keep him from going upstairs until he's less destructive. This is the perfect size and keeps our puppy out. If my dog were to review this, he'd hate it, but that's the point right? (Haha) I definitely recommend this for keeping pets out of certain spaces. The appearance of this item is great as well. It looks like a quality piece, and it definitely lives up to its quality as well.

The mesh gate itself is good quality and looks nice, but the sticker hooks are garbage. They kept falling off the wall. I bought some metal hooks and attached them to the wall permanently, and it stays up. The gate works great with my 12 lb Chihuahua-Pug mix. However, my 6lb Chihuahua can slide underneath it if he wants to. We are training him to know that the gate means the room is off limits, but he does go under at times when he wants to show off his skills, especially since our other dog can’t get through it.

This product looks nice and is really easy to install.My two complaints:1. This doesn't look good when left unhooked, as it just hangs off of the wall.2. My very smart dog (Standard Poodle) figured out how to unhook this in a matter of minutes so I can no longer use this.

This is such a great compact device. I got it for my dog who has a tendency to run right out the door whenever I open it or leave it open just enough for her to open herself and run through. This comes with everything you need to set this up, it just takes a bit of patience and you'll be able to use this in just a few minutes after opening. It also comes with another set of brackets so you can move the gate around or need to change it to separate your pets/babies from a different section of the house. I'm now able to set up a barrier that works over a much greater distance without having to deal with setting up baby gates that end up cracking or splintering over time or just won't fit because of how they are designed. This gate is also easier to "take down" and readjust without having to find a space for it to be put away or getting lost or damaged when not in use.

If this had cost $5-$10, I wouldn't be so annoyed, but it was $37, which is outright ridiculous. The ads in my opinion were misleading. IT seems retractable. It's not. It's a telescoping antenna (like that of an FM radio) on the right and left black lines, which gives it its structure. then, it pulls and is held by plastic hooks. After reading reviews, we installed (decorative) metal screws which look nice. And yes, my dog broke it almost right away, but it is basically this: a screen that uses 2 radio antennas and some rubber bands. When my kids open it, they have to unhook it, which is cumbersome, and it basically folds down, instead of opens up. Again, if there's a $5-10 version of it, ok, you might be happy. But it's DEFINITELY not work $37. I'm a pretty easy-to-please amazon user and this is my biggest (amazon purchase) regret in 15 years.

I bought 4 of these to block stairs after my dog had knee surgery. I followed the instructions and looked at reviews and photos of how to install when you don't have two walls but, rather, wall and a banister. It certainly does not look as taut as the photos and it ends up so lose, my dog was able to maneuver under them. If I arrange so that it pulls tight, the plastic hook disconnects from the plastic base that is connected to the wall. This has been a waste of more than $100 since I ordered four, very frustrated. I don't want to try to return them since I don't have the packaging.

Amazing quality for the price! They're the perfect height for my little one, and best of all, extremely stable. My daughter would often stand on one side of the step stool, and she would often fall because the step stool would trip. Somehow, with these, she can stand on the corner of one side, and the step stool wouldn't buckle at all. The grip is very steady on the bottom, so no fear of sliding off. The grip surface on the top is perfect as well. The handles on the side makes it easy to move around. My daughter likes to take the stool all around the house as her way to reaching higher stuff. She loves the extra access! I highly recommend these.
