Looks great inside my boat. Had a battery and after install it works !

The beautiful solid brass clock did not have mounting screws. You have to remove it from the mounting surface via the mounting screws to change the battery. Also the AA battery compartment is too small to house the battery. I used a AAA battery and tinfoil to get it to work. Not good.

It looks very classy in my sailboat cabin.

Solid brass case, yes, but the rest of it? Junk! After the battery leaked I brought a cheap kitchen clock and I replaced the movement with it, the clock face was cheap flimisy printed paper. So with the new movement in it who knows how long it will last. I will not be buying it again. Get a really ships clock.

this clock looses 8 hours a day. need to replace clock with one that works. PLEASE

Liked the clock, very nice, but no screws w/clock to attach to wall. Ended up returning it because you have to unscrew the clock from wall every time you need to replace the battery. Very inconvenient.

This thing had some small dings and scratches in both the brass and the glass but not enough to notice. For the price I can live with a few visual imperfections compared to the others out there. Functionally it’s heavy, solid, well built, and keeps great time. As long as the battery lasts a good while I have no complaints. And best of all it looks good installed in my boat Update: The battery lasted about 2 months which is less than ideal. In order to change it I have to remove the clock from the wall entirely high is not a big deal but if it could have been designed in two pieces to unscrew from the wall mount it would be easier to change. Overall though I’m still happy with this hassle for the low price, when compared to the higher prices of other models.

I chose this item from about six similar items because its item description clearly stated that it came with a hook to fit it to the wall. All other items offered clearly stated they did not ,and would need to be screwed to the wall with screws, not offered. To buy such an item requires that it needs to be unscrewed each time you change batteries. Four to six screws involved. Having noted that a particular item did not require this because it came with a" clever hook ", I decided to buy it. When advised of my problem the supplier apologized for my "misunderstanding". After much debate he refused to offer a refund. Be careful dealing with this company. Their written word is not their bond.

The clock is now fitted in my canal boat and it looks excellent. It's a pity that the clock has to be moved off the wall to fit a new battery.
