Gauge Looks Fantastic. Packaging? Not So Much... (0-30 psi unit)
The Good:1) Large, easy-to-read dial in 0.25 psi increments2) Fully protected with shock-absorbing rubber sleeve3) All-metal construction4) Ships with two different chucksThe Bad:1) The way the gauge is packaged. The gauge is shipped in a roughly square, plastic clamshell which requires the rubber hose to be wrapped around the gauge face. This wrapping of the hose in such a small space created a permanent kink in my gauge's hose. The kink doesn't seem to affect the function of the gauge, but the hose has lost its structural integrity at the point of the kink and only flexes there. Like a metal coat hanger repeatedly bent back and forth, the hose will fail at the kink long before it normally should.2) This is the fault of the manufacturer (not the seller....nor Longacre directly), but really should be corrected. Either design a larger clamshell, or ship the gauge with the hose detached from the gauge body.

Longacre 52-52003
update 2-7-20I didn't use it for about a week and I just remember that when I released the pressure by pressing the release button the needle went a couple of times somewhere in the middle of the pressure indication and 0, I had to press the button again to zero it. so I called again longacre and described the item. according to them the gauge was made years ago, the zeroing problem wasn't a problem but I decided to send it back just for a peace of mind. I was really unhappy just looking at this gauge, it looked old and used with two tiny scratches near the release button.original first review:Package arrived fast, was resealed, probably returned or used. The connecting sealing tabs of the plastic cover were pressed a couple of times in order to reseal it to the point I was able opening some of them by hand. The back of the gauge’s head had left markings in different positions on the covering hard paper indicating it was repacked a couple of times. On top of that the rubber bumper had slight finger marks and looked a little old. The hose also was softer than other longacre gauges. Well I gave it the benefit of the doubt and I test it once at the same tire getting the same result three times. It seems that is functioning ok but I will have to compare its accuracy agains other gauges. I don’t know if I keep it because it is bothering me the fact that it was used. Prior to that I bought a 52-52002 liquid filled which was brand new and its construction was very impressive but I had to return it because the liquid level was lower than it was supposed to be. Now I am getting the impression maybe I got a repacked gauge because I returned one last week????For now 1 star rating until I decide what to do with the gauge. Also looking at the internet the packages of the longacre gauges look different than the ones I received.I don’t know which one is older.

Longacre Deluxe #52003 Analog Dial Gauge Gets The Job done, No Nonsense About It!
Spending US$40 & up on a tire pressure gauge is akin to spending $200 or more on a headphone to listen to your music on: you've entered a higher level of performance and quality than is usually available below those respective price points, and have gotten yourself neither just a tire gauge or headphone, but rather an investment that with a little care will serve you for at least a decade.Construction: Longacre Racing's #52003 Deluxe 0-60PSI is substantial, compared to the construction of my trusty old Accu Gage S60X, and of my DIYCO Elite D1 digital and Longacre's own 53006 Basic Digital gauge. Everything exudes quality, from the dial head and rubber jacket, to the hose, to the chuck. Per a phone conversation with one of Longacre's own reps, since about ten years ago, most Longacre analog gauges have been of the 'Bourdon tube' construction variety, not the cheaper spring type. And it shows in the dial pointer movement: smoothly sweeping up to indicated pressure of your tire, vs snapping up to the pressure.Accuracy: My most important criterion is repeatability, and that is something a digital tire gauge simply cannot touch an analog model with. Against my local mechanic's garage Astro AI filler gauge, my 52003 Deluxe reads roughly 0.2psi higher for typical tire pressures between 30-45psi - well within acceptable tolerance. Compared to the aforementioned digitals: the DIYCO reading 0.5psi above the garage gauge, and the Longacre Basic Digital almost 1psi higher. I'd like to know why that's the case: why the consumer digital gauges read so high compared to analog dials. The Deluxe analog also repeats the same reading a minute or two later, a hair lower each time since a little air is sacrificed from the tire each time a reading is taken.Readability: On a dial 3/4inch wider diameter than my Accu Gage, it's no contest, especially since the Longacre Deluxe has markings for both PSI and half-psi. Plus, only only a few seconds under a bright ceiling light or even overcast daylight, and this thing glows for a long time!Ease of use: Easy to fit the angled chuck onto any vehicle tire valve stem, and get a reading that holds for as long you need it to - but no longer! Like setting a shaft-style torque wrench back to a low reading(20ft lb) after use, you should NOT stow away the Deluxe with a tire pressure reading still on it. Dump the reading via the bleeder button until the needle is fully counterclockwise - pointing at the word 'Z E R O' on the dial face. Hold the button in until it arrives there - about two to three seconds. This is a professional kit with internal dampening not available on a $10 Slime analog dial from the big box - you know what I mean. ;). I was lucky enough to receive one where the needle home position lands right between the E & R in ZERO on the dial. This means it was well calibrated at the factory, and that someone took extra care to make it so. If this gauge says your tires have, IE: 37psi in them, you can believe it. If you bleed that down to 33, we'll that's what you'll have. No second guessing.Bleeding tire pressure itself is a cinch - the button and the bleed itself feel solid. Just don't feel alarmed if the needle momentarily drops 5-10psi low during the bleed. it will return back up, next time closer to your target pressure. Stop when the needle is right on top of the hash mark for your target cold tire pressure, repeat for all remaining tires. Can't get much more even pressures than that in all two or four or more tires, unless you go digital with 0.2psi resolution(Longacre Basic Digital, or 0.1psi on the DIYCO Elite pro).I took one star off Ease of Use because, at least at the price range for both this Longacre Deluxe dial, and their Basic Digital gauge, only the chucks rotate on their end of the hose, not the gauge heads. On the DIYCO, both the head and chuck rotate 360°. But if lack of hose rotation at one end eliminates a potential wear/air leakage point, then it's alright if that's how Longacre builds them.I feel confident enough with the Longacre Deluxe #52003 that I should get accurate and repeatable cold pressure readings for years to come, as long as I keep it well when not in use.And folks, unless you have a really legitimate reason to do so, AVOID setting yourvehicle's cold tire pressures anywhere near the value stamped on its tires! I'm talkingroutinely hauling pianos in your pickup, or a minimum load of 10 passengers in yourlivery van or courtesy shuttle, then you might want to add 3-5psi to the pressureslisted on the driver side B-pillar, or inside the owner/operator's manual. That numberon the tire is just that - a MAXIMUM pressure, not a one-size-fits-all pressure for everyvehicle you share the highway with. At that pressure, your steering will definitely bemore responsive, but you'll also have less contact patch during acceleration, cornering, and braking. Plus: you'll be transmitting more jolts to the suspension system and carstructure, reducing their service life by as much as a decade! This tire pressure "door placard vs tire" thing can get more personal than politics, andthere's just no dang reason for such vitriol, considering what else we are facing, as anation and as a world. And with an investment such as one of Longacre's mid- to higher-priced analog dial gauges, you can be confident that your cold tire pressures are as close to recommended as they possibly can be, each and every time you check them. No fading batteries, and no waiting 5-10 secs. for a digital read that might or might not repeat the next time.

JACO doesn't compare to LongAcre's QUALITY
The quality of this tire pressure gauge is super high and top notch. High quality materials used to build this high precision and very accurate tire pressure measurement tool. Looks very nice & very well built and will last a long time. This Longacre Tire Pressure Deluxe gauge holds the air measurement and resets with the pressure release button. Dial glows in the dark for easy readings. Red hose is made in the USA of great quality and the rest of materials are made in Taiwan not China. Highly recommend and its 💯 superior than any Chinese made JACO tire pressure tools! Worth every penny and perfect investment for any real man! 5 STARS!!!

Easy to read
Gauge was sold by Hoerr Racing and fulfilled by Amazon . Placed order on Friday and it was delivered 2 days later on Sunday. Great service from Hoerr Racing . The 2.5 inch gauge is easy to read . I owned 3 other gauges that all gave 3 different readouts . Expensive for just checking the tire pressure on a passenger car , but you get what you pay for. Very happy with my purchase .
