Yes, the cover is different than the picture; but it still contains all the stories and has a hardback cover with no bookmark. I suggest you ask the seller for pictures. Mine is nice looking bought as used "very good" with a dark covered cover.

The book I got contains "the stories" and "leather binding" as advertised on AMAZON. BUT THE COVER SHOWN IS NOT THE SAME OR EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT I RECEIVED. Sadly, it was the cover presentation that prompted me to buy the book in the first place. I feel hoodwinked by this obvious "Bait and Switch" merchant, but will not go through the hassle of returning it.

Good to own, to dip into, but I haven't finished it. But it is a classic, eh?

melville is a very underrated writer.
