Well Made and Extremely Comfortable!
I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I am replacing a pair of Allen Edmonds Dress boots, and was concerned about the quality and fit. I am glad to say these are perfect. The color and finish is great. Fit is excellent, I normally were a 9 B these are a 9 Medium and are perfect. I did change the laces to a lighter brown than what and with boots , just a personal preference. I also cleaned and conditioned the boots properly before wearing them as recommended too me to help with creasing when breaking in new shoes. The kidskin leather, is very soft and extremely comfortable. I am already looking at another pair. Especially considering the cost is a 1/3 of what of what I normally pay for shoes..

Timeless style
I just received this pair of boots (delivered to the door as promised), only one word comes to mind...WOW. I bought two pair of these (before the price increased) and at $98.00, the boots were an incredible price. The black ones are extermely stylish and I was a bit skeptical of how the brown ones would look...in a word...WOW...I am extremely pleased with the style, the workmanship and the sizing of the boot. Having read on this site they tend to run bit narrow, I ordered a size 14 and I'm glad I did, not so much for the narrowness but for a bit more room in the toe box. These boots are a must for any collection and for those having a shoe size above a size 12, these shoes some how tend to make the foot look smaller, whether it is the cap toe with the antique styling or the narrowness, I'm not sure, but the boot is definitely a keeper...just love em...I can already tell the brown ones will be my favorite of the two.

Perfect
Needed for authentic old west living history events and there is a reason these boots have been around since the late 19th century. Prefect fit. Appearance is as advertised and the quality is unmatched.

Feel like The Goz
I bought these boots because they are the same kind Ryan Gosling wore in DRIVE. These boots look great in person. The leather appears to breaking in quickly. The moment you lace them up and flex your foot the smooth surface of the boot will have a crease in it. I am guessing this will make them very comfortable soon, as you don't have to work too hard to break them in. The boots are fairly true to size although I'd say maybe a tad narrow. I went size 9 and they were like canoes, and returned them for 8.5, and they were a little snug, but as they are leather they will loosen up. They look pretty cool. The top 4 eyelets are actually hooks that you wrap the laces around instead of poke through. The steel gray color looks great too. Good heel, good sole, they have an interesting edge to them.

A classic, but definitely not perfect
I own the black, brown, and white of the Madison boot, so I'm obviously a fan. The slim profile, plus real leather sole really makes these sharp for many occasions. You can wear them with a suit or jeans, they're just a great staple to a refined guy's wardrobe. Some notes, though...they are on the narrow side, and right out of the box are pretty stiff. The leather is a very specific feel - not quite patent leather, but semi-shiny, thin, and rigid. They do break in nicely after a while, but if you've never worn them, just know that it'll take some time. Also, the sole is initially very slippery on smooth surfaces, so you may want to take a stroll on some asphalt to give them a little grit. Another issue I've faced in all three pairs I've purchased is that the laces are never quite as long as I'd like them to be. There are A LOT of eyelets and hooks on these, and if you wanna go all the way you're gonna have to really fight to tie a bow. To the best of my knowledge Stacy Adams does not sell separate replacement laces, so you may have to look elsewhere if this is an issue. Definitely recommend ordering your dress shoe size, which is typically a size down from a sneaker size. I'm a 10 in these, but an 11.5 in most athletic sneakers (Nike, NB, Vans, etc.) and a 10.5 in Converse All Stars, if that helps. Overall, I do love these shoes. They're understated, versatile, handsome, and timeless. But they could be improved IMO.

"Old Man's Comfort"
I love this style "Stacy Adams" shoe. I guess you could call them retro. Not only are they comfortable, I was surprised at how many compliments I got on them. They are all leather, top and bottom. When they break in, the inside will form itself to the bottom of your foot.

Madison Shoes
Blue shoes arrived as scheduled and looks very nice and stylish. However the gray shoes of the same style and size were never received. I got a message stating that the gray shoes were delivered but they never were. USPS mailperson handed me only one box with the blue shoes. Customer service gave no explanation as to what happened to the gray shoes. I can only conclude that someone liked them as much as my spouse and kept them. Additionally the one box received clearly had been opened and resealed with tape.

Very pleased with these boots
Like the title says, I like these boots very much. They fit as expected and they feel well constructed. The first time that I wore them was for a dance. They were comfortable to walk and dance in (I danced for at least two hours.). They're definitely attention-getters.About the comfort, I'd read a review that mentioned that the boot opening irritated that reviewer's leg. I found the same, when wearing regular dress socks. To counter this, I wore a pair of Timberland Outdoor Leisure socks. That solved the problem for me. I'm considering applying some leather softener to those areas. All in all, I'd say that my experience wearing the spats has been positive.
