Quality reps for productive practices
With the help of this machine, I was able to train my daughter from beginner to club-level/JV in one year. She had access to additional external training, but her practice time with the machine was by far the most productive because of consistent quality reps minimizing downtime. I wish the actual teams and clubs would incorporate machine-use during training, but I understand the cost is prohibitive and most players/coaches are simply not that dedicated. Highly recommended without reservation.

Good for up to High School seniors
Save your arm! Get this entry-level serving machine.Speed is not horribly fast, even at top setting. Good for up to HS seniors.Best part is the repeatability -- if the athlete handles a ball poorly, you can give tips, and then serve up the exact same serve and see how they improve.Great for giving them the needed repetitions.Does not scuff balls too bad, but you will see some wear stripes or light scuffs on the ball.Only 4 stars because this model does not have adjustable height.

Great!!
This has a high school and grade school settings. Great topspin and okay floaters. For floaters, you might have to move the machine a little closer to the net. Also, depending on the amount of air in your ball will depend on how far it gets launched. You just have to dial in your balls (haha) and finesse a bit to your liking. It has not cut any of our volleyballs, however, it might smudge the writtings on the balls. IMO, the balls are getting its use. Has made my daughter a better passer.

Works great!!
Purchased this for my daughter going into High School and starting Volleyball. What a great machine. It does mark the balls a bit but I touched a piece of 80 grit sand paper to the edges of the spinning wheels to round it of a little and that did the trick. It really has made a difference in her ability to learn and take her time and I don't have a sore shoulder from lobbing the balls to her.

Completely rips up vballs even after sanding --keeping vball in place/consistent is near impossible
The machine works, and launches balls. Cannot not be relied on for 60+ top spin serves, very difficult to put higher up if you wanted to mimic an outside hitter (or any hitter). The setting feature is nice, but not reliable as the machine even with the wheel stoppers moves ever so slightly when you are launching the volleyballs from the machine. Another thing is if the ball isn't loaded PERFECTLY into the machine it will launch the ball on a trajectory that is not viable or conducive to training. This would work for middle school maybe JV, but I would rather tell someone to save for a better machine.

Worth every penny
Excellent machine, great build quality and just what the team needed to train for hard serves and attacks

Don't use your pretty expensive Volleyballs.
It marks the balls really bad.(scuff marks) in the long run I don't know if it's actually damaging the balls. Shoots balls pretty good but leaves a powdery residue everytime. Rotating Wheels are made out of rubbery material so it may be coming from there..I wish it didn't scuff my volleyballs that bad. They went from almost new to beat up in less than 1 hour of using the machine.
