SP Ableware 24942 Tan Hand To Hand Mug, 10 Ounce

Purchased for my 94 year old Dad as a father's day gift, he was doubtful until he used it. He loves it. The lightness, the corrrigations that make it easier to hold. The wide handle the double walled construction making hot drinks cool to handle. It's not very durable though, expect to replace within six months.

This mug is absolutely perfect for my elderly loved one. Wide base for stability, large unadorned handle for ease in grasping and releasing, ridged exterior for two handed holding, insulated for protection against excessive heat, and very lightweight. It is an odd construction but the water does drain when it it put into the dishwasher. The seams are not tight and I worry that it won’t last long but time will tell. Really should have had a lower price.Update after 3 months of use: the mug is a great design but has developed a crack in the interior mug making it unusable. Too expensive for such a short lifespan. So disappointed.

I was rather surprised it was as lightweight as it is. However, that is a good thing since I bought it for my mother who is over the age of 90. It works well to pass off to someone. She likes the grip of the handle too. There is a hollow part between the bottom inside of the cup and the exterior bottom with a hole exposing that on the bottom. Not sure what that is about. Overall, I'm pleased with the product but think it should be priced lower.

We love this mug because it is lightweight and holds more than just 8 oz of coffee which isn't that much if you like cream. My aunt, who is 92, likes using it, however, we have only been able to get one to last 3 months and have ordered it twice. The design is not good as the bottom of the mug is hollow which allows water to just sit in there so it takes some towel drying to get it all out and then when the beverage is hot the seems expand, see the one pic, and ultimately it cracks and leaks. Wish is would last longer. What a shame.

I purchased this mug for my friend's mom who has dementia. She drops stuff a LOT and is always trying to carry too many things at once. She absolutely LOVES this mug! It's VERY lightweight and she just can't stop talking about it. When she does drop it, it bounces. "Her cup" the only one she EVER uses now, eventually had to be replaced with a new one, but it is well worth the money. Nice to not have a regular ceramic coffee mug shattering all over every day. 🤗

So I ordered this product twice, for a total of three cups, because they work great for my mom. However, I needed to super glue them all along the handle seam. I know some probably wonder why I would order two more after needing to glue the first one. (Even after reading reviews that had the same issue). Well, the cup is prefect for my mom with limited hand and arm strength. It holds a full amount of coffee, has a good size handle and nice ridges for her to hold onto. It is lightweight, with a large bottom for stability and does not get hot on the outside. She has not spilled or dropped her coffee cup since using these cups. Some reviewers complained about water retained after washing, but there is a small hole designed to allow for water to drain out if slightly tipped on the handle. I hand wash all my dishes and they air dry, so this has not been a big issue for me. If you need a cup that works, this is it…. just make sure you have a small tube of superglue with a fine tip.

Got this as a gift for my mother in law because she struggles to pickup regular coffee cups with her advancing arthritis. She LOVES these cups! She can slip her hand right into the handle without effort and the ribs on the mug make it very easy to hold. The only downside is that there is a hollow cavity between the cup and the outer mug, and there is no bottom on the outer shell to prevent this from filling with water while washing.

Elderly dad, really loved this cup because of the extra large grip handle and it's light weight. Only thing is not very durable. Only had for a few months and it cracked at the bottom. Had to throw away. Was disappointed and opted to order a different type of cup for my dad, unfortunately.
