After extensive research, I finally pulled the trigger on this camera. It is simply incredible and at an unbeatable price point. Not only it is a great PTZ camera with a powerful optical zoom and excellent night vision (thanks to Starlight and a great lens) but it also includes auto tracking, a feature historically (and still) reserved to much more expensive cameras.It takes a little bit of time to set up properly as there are many options (a plus) but the possibilities are endless.The combination of powerful PTZ, high quality optics, powerful zoom and impressive auto tracking capability allows user to cover, day and night, a large area.Most impressive, the camera not only tracks but also automatically zooms on the subject (car, face, ...) to provide useful information.I have been waiting for a long time for such a unit and I suspect I will end up buying more than one...Highly recommended!

The media could not be loaded.  I originally got it for its auto tracking features, however this unit is falsely advertised... it is a Dahua SD49225XA-HNR and if you look up the specs it has everything EXCEPT auto tracking. There is no Smart Plan nor Deep IVS menu to set up the tracking. So it's missing the hardware chip that's required for auto tracking. It's a good camera, integrates with Lorex systems, nice zoom and great night vision otherwise.

I have just set this up on my blueiris system and I am blown away with the optical zoom. It's worth the money if you want detailed surveillance. My next steps are to customize settings to enable good license plate reads at night.It will need a power injector if you're running anything at length. I returned two netgear POE+ switches as they didn't cut it at a run estimated between 50-65 feet.

This camera exceeded my expectations. With proper setup, the camera functions exactly as advertised. It takes a little time to configure based on your needs, but that is to be expected with any PTZ camera. Daytime and Nightime performance are phenomenal. Have not experienced a single issue. No need for external power supply. Construction quality is top-notch; the built in hardware is very quiet. The Web User Interface is fast and responsive. Definitely benefit from the on-board artificial intelligence functions. The seller is very prompt and honest in resolving customer needs. Overall, extremely satisfied.Edit (3/16/2020): My unit came with the Autotracking feature. However, newer units came without Autotracking. Recently was informed that Autotracking was coming back to this model through a firmware update. I strongly recommend this model. Purchase with confidence.

The media could not be loaded.  Update April 30 2020. This supplier has issued a firmware update and now this camera has auto tracking. It works great. I have been dealing with a problem with focus since I bought it and tried everything including making adjustments that were advised by very experienced people and can't resolve the issue. The supplier has followed up promptly and I am waiting to hear back about what he can do.The camera actually is a Dahua product. Just be sure to use a POE + switch.Update November 2020: Been rock solid but unfortunately it will not focus properly. Tried everything under the sun and even had extensive help from a guru that is well known in a large forum and it just can't focus properly. Happens every day numerous times.

great PTZ for the money by far a great camera and night time in color is just great, you will not find these features in a big box camera system

After my previous PTZ broke (due to a power surge, a 59225) I replaced it with this version. Night time video is much better and the auto tracking works incredible. Can't recommend it enough. Excellent support from the seller also!

I bought this camera to try to get more detail on cars going past my house. I have existing fixed wide-angle cameras that are recorded using Blue Iris software but after a recent overnight crime on the block where those cameras were only able to get a general description of the car I wanted to install something more capable.With a little help from Google and online forums I was able to set this camera up so I can read the tags of almost every car that goes down the street.At night I set it to a fairly tight zoom and change the camera settings (via a scheduled scene on my home automation system calling a http request on the camera) so I can capture just the tags of all the cars driving by at night. Since the tags are reflecting the IR light emitted by the camera the exposure has to be very dark and I don't get other details beyond the shape of the car's lights, but if I didn't want to be able to read the tags I could change the settings to get a very clear view of the overall scene. The night vision on this camera, both in color mode and in B&W mode with the IR on is very very good.In the daytime I have it go to another PTZ preset where it gets a wider view that is still tight enough to read the tags and then it auto-tracks the vehicles. Due to trees and poles in the way it doesn't successfully auto-track all the time, but by the time the camera starts to move I already have a clear image of the tag.Setup was a little harder than some other cameras I've bought. I had to use the Dahua discovery tool (which also detected many of my other cameras that use the same discovery protocol) and was a little confused about how to set and save the IP but I eventually figured it out.This camera is large and heavy compared to consumer-grade cameras. There are no mounting screws/bolts included in the box, so you'll need to supply your own to use the included wall mounting bracket.
