Updated Review after owning for 3+ years
In 2024, QNAP seems to have gotten their act together, at least software-wise. The only problem I still have after 3 years is that the reboot process usually hangs. (I suppose I could reformat and reinstall, but I have decided that I do not want to go through that trouble.)

set up
set up was a pain at first it was not seeing the nas hard drive so i shut down the nas and double check everything reinstalled hard drive and everything worked great good starter nas not as easy as wd personal cloud but way better then wd personal could for security but takes a long time to set everything up but i really like my qnap
