Men's Wave Inspire 16 Waveknit Road Running Shoe

Mizuno Men's Wave Inspire 16 Waveknit is the tighter fitting variant of this shoe. If you try them, keep that in mind. Mizuno offers a looser variant that also happens to be lighter (non-knit). I liked it so much that I bought a similar type of shoe for my everyday walkers. Also keep in mind that this shoe is designed for over pronation, if you do not, MIzuno makes other shoes more appropriate to your gate. I've bought 4 years of iterations of this shoe. I decided to try the all mesh version. The all mesh version is a little lighter and less stiff than the 15,14, and 13. However, the toe box is considerably less roomie, to the point that it's given my big toe blisters on longer runs. May want to consider a half size larger if you think you might need the extra room and want to get the all mesh version of this shoe.

I've worn flagship neutral/stability models by ASICS and Brooks for the last few years (most recently Kayano 26) and that's what I'm comparing this shoe to.*Really light* The way the shoe is constructed, especially the slight curve at the heel end makes a great job at keeping your feet in place during runs. No wiggly feet during runs.*Extremely comfortable. I have low arches/overprenation and wide feet, and wear orthotic insoles with most shoes. This shoe works great with insoles since the top is soft and doesn't press on your feet.*This is a neutral shoe with no stability or heel support and decent amount of cushioning.*I find the profile ideal, with lots of support where needed, and despite this the soles don't feel thick ((even though they sort of are)

Made in Vietnam, there is no way to know in advance if will run true to size or not. These were way too small though previous pair fit just fine. Vietname quality is unpredictable.

Worse in every way compared to previous iterations. Woven upper is theoretically more comfortable and form fitting, but in fact it makes the shoe feel sloppy in corners and on hills. The new upper paradoxically also makes the toe box too tight. These instant blister creators are going right back.

I bought these not for running but for an “all day on my feet on a hard floor” job, where I work 10-12 hour shifts. These are incredibly cushy yet supportive. Definitely rival the Adidas Ultraboost in that regard. They also fit well enough that I’d use them for running if I ever did that any more. I had the wave inspire 14 and loved those, the 16 did not disappoint. Found my new favorite shoe.

In my experience very uncomfortable-How would anyone exercise in these? Sure you could put inserts in them but I could feel the carpeting underneath them and the bottom of the shoe through the insole. They were so cheaply made it was a joke and I would never pay $80 for them. They are now safely back and Amazons arms

These shoes are great right out of the box. They do run a size small,but I’ve ordered them before,so I knew what size to get. I use them for long distance and ultra runs. They feel great. The only downside is that they don’t last too long. It could be I’m a bit hard on them,but if you use them for anything but running,the upper material wears out . It’s the first running shoe I’ve had where the sole lasts longer. I also wait till they’re on sale. I think the retail price is a little high for as short a time (4-6 months) as they last. Good shoe though. I’m on my eighth or ninth pair.

His Aunt and I bought these shoes for my oldest son. He wears a size 16 and they are hard to find in those larger sizes and if you do find them they can be really expensive...." he really loves them and finds them comfortable and they look great as well too!
