Fits drz400sm 2022
Light and mounting bracket work great the only thing is the wires that come with the light are too short but it is an easy fix as long as you cut the oem wires off the original light and splice them into the new light and use the original connector to plug into the wire harness it renders your original light useless but it’s cheap enough to replace and I doubt if your buying this you will ever use your stock light again all in all the light and bracket look great and everything works would recommend as long as you have some knowledge on splicing wires properly.

I like it but others might not, holes aren’t so great...
Biggest complaint with this thing are the holes for the install. The factory brake lights don’t fit this thing well... you can sandwich washers to get a snug fit, and you have to route the cables behind the mount, it’s just kinda janky. Some other kits I’ve looked at have more appropriate holes machine in them for the right bolts and cables to be run cleanly. It seems like they’ve address the missing hardware, mine came with some brackets to allow the bracket to mount flat without needing the extra bolts talked about by another reviewer. The wiring diagram isn’t included but the previous commenter was right.Black with White stripe = BlackWhite with Black stripe = GreenGrey = RedI did have one minor issue that took me a while to figure out, when I hooked up the light no matter how it was wired it wouldn’t activate. Turns out my foot brake switch had shifted due to some off roading causing my brake light to always be on. This wasn’t obvious until I was getting this wired up. Reaching under the bike to the screw that activates the brake and making sure the switch is rotated into the right position fixed the issue. The switch is reversed, so the brake light comes on when the switch is released. You need to rotate the switch so the bolt completely presses it closed.Anyways, tail light and mount are good, i’ve seen others that mount above the frame between the plastic and frame that appear a little more flush. That doesn’t appear to be an option with this kit if you’re using factory signals. Regardless, I like it and think it’ll take abuse we’ll.

Good DRZ400 tail light but a few issues....
This review will explain how to make this light work on a DRZ400 and should save you a lot of time installing it. It does not come with any instructions.MOUNTING: You will need to buy two M6 - 1.0 x 20 metric screws and two 1/4 in to 3/8 in spacers to mount the bracket to the tail of the bike. A 5/16 in machine nut will work as a spacer too (that is what I did - see pics). These parts DO NOT come with it. I used two of the screws that were left after I uninstalled the stock light but I had to shave down the captive washer on one side on each of the screws to make it fit (see pics). If you buy two M6 screws without a washers this will be far easier.TAIL LIGHT WIRING (USA 2019 DRZ400SM):Suzuki black with white stripe connects to black (ground)Suzuki white with black stripe connects to green (brake)Suzuki grey with red stripe connects to red (running and plate light)If I knew all of that ahead of time I probably would have given the light 5 stars because it is not a bad light for the money. It is well made, looks great and is plenty bright. It also comes with a Suzuki sport bike key tag. It ships from China pretty quick (about ten days to the east coast of the USA).I will post a video on youtube showing all this (search dankeifer for my channel).

Good but requires work....
This light eventually worked well, but required a lot of modification. My bike is DRZ 400S which this was supposed to fit. It states 400SM on the unit, so maybe that makes the difference. The holes for the turn signals were huge, requiring washers to be installed. I JB welded them in place. The spacers were too large and would place the bracket too low, so I fabricated shorter ones. The front of the plate has no place to mount, so I removed that. Once in place and wired, it looks good and works well. Lights are very bright and the unit really improves the look of the motorcycle. If you handy at all, it's no real problem. But, it takes some work....

Works great on a klx400
I purchased this knowing I was going to do some modifications. I used the reviewers tip on using the hole saw to get the bracket fit tight to the frame. I also drilled new holes to get the brake light to fit closer to the fender. The reviewer that detailed the wires was also very helpful. I am very happy with the way it turned out and with the quality of the light and bracket. I installed this on a 2003 klx400 and would definitely recommend this light for this bike or the drz400. I was able to make this work with the hardware that was included.

Requires modification
Installed on my 2006 DR-Z400SM. The provided hardware makes for a poor fit with a large gap between the light and the fender, and the angled parts that house the turn signals aren't wide enough apart to go around the bracket welded to the subframe. Seems like a universal bracket with hardware provided as a workaround for the DRZ. I ended up modifying it pretty heavily and I'm happy with the result, just not the product/price.

Now includes additional hardware kit
As of December 2020 the bracket I bought was delivered with additional hardware and spacers to make the bracket fit without the need for additional hardware. I didn’t use the light since I had a similar style on a homemade bracket that broke. This bracket is nice and sturdy and angles the plate out at an angle so it is clear of the rear tire. I would recommend sealing the wires where they go into the light housing to keep water and mud out while riding off road.

Really nice for a DRZ400
Ordering on amazon is tricky to know if it is going to work or not. We did not receive it near the time that we had been scheduled to but it eventually showed up and the company was very good at making us happy because of the delay. This didn't necessarily fit the way we wanted in to but we got it to work. It is a nice change from the long stock rear fender. Nice looking product1
