Q: Dark blond is too dark, medium blond is too light. Can I mix the colors?

I've added dark golden blond to medium. 1/2 & 1/2 color turned out good

Q: Does this actually lift almost black hair?? Trying to dye it brown..

I have naturally black hair and this lifts it to light blonde. But if you want to go black to brown you should not use this, because this product is for people who really want to go blonde. For black to brown hair lifting, use a special high-lift COLOR; check Garnier and L'Oreal, I don't think that Clairol has any.

Q: Should I use this on washed or unwashed hair?

Unwashed hair is better because the natural oil with help to protect your hair but you can still use it on washed hair.

Q: why is my hair so reddish right after coloring? After a week or so, it is just perfect!

I use the 112A and LOVE it right after coloring and a week later when it settles down a bit. I also LOVE the conditioner it comes with and use it almost everyday to keep the shine. I think the extra red in the beginning may have something to do with the fact it's not a professional salon product. But I'll take that anyday over the enormous cost of salon color.
