This tool is the best. Makes crimping so easy you don’t even need the cover. As far as the magic tubes…they have not made it yet. Package was damaged and getting a replacement soon I hope.

I find crimp beads and tubes to be ugly, and hard to get “perfect.” I’ve always had to cover them with a bead or crimp cover. This tool eliminates the need for that. Wish I knew about this sooner!

It’s worth buying these pliers. They make a nice ending to your hand made jewelry items.

This crimping tool works very well with the soft flex 2x2 crimps.

These work well with round crimp beads. The pliers fit my hand nicely and the grips on the handles allow for a comfortable hold. They don't take much effort to operate. They are relatively lightweight and take little pressure to produce a good form of the crimp beads.

Really loved the idea that I could use one tool to magically transform crimp tubes into round looking beads in a seamless process but unfortunately these do not work as advertised and will be returned. Initially when I received the magical crimping tool, I couldn't get it to work using the 2x2 crimp tubes I had on hand (which is the recommended size). I figured my crimp tubes were probably poor quality and hoped that upgrading my crimp tubes would be effective. Tried several different brands of crimps I already had, but all bombed, so I ordered Beadsmith's crimp tubes that they claim are compatible with the tool.I'm sorry to report that I had even WORSE luck with their crimp tubes. I was shocked to see that the quality of the tubes was so poor due to uneven hole sizes and jagged edges such that many tubes wouldn't allow my Soft Flex .19 wire to go through ONCE much less the required TWO times. Yikes!! After trying multiple different brands of 2x2 crimp tubes and watching various videos to adjust my technique, I was not able to reproduce the shape that Beadsmith claims this product yields. FWIW, I've been a beader for several years and have a lot of experience using crimp beads, tubes, and covers. I figured I'd just be returning the UN-magical crimping tool but given the horrible quality of their crimp tubes, they're going back as well.Posting video to show my experienced with the tool. Sorry for the weird angles, did my best to create the video when I was working solo.

It does take a bit of practice to get the hang of these . If you take your time to line them up , in time you will get a feel for when the crimp is in the right place . You need at least 2 wires in the crimp for it to hold , so you will need to use extra wire when making illusion type jewelry . I often make 3 strand jewelry and the crimps that are suited to this tool will not fit 6 strands through so I use other crimps and tool for that . You will never get a perfect round ball with these but I'm pleased with the finish they give and for me they look better than crimp covers and are easier to use .

I tried this product with multiple different crimp beads and no attempt was able to make a bead that looked like something that was jewelry. I would not purchase this product again.

So far i have used it in multiple projects with success. It gets some practice to make the seed beads completely round but the tool works as intended.
