I’m a drummer and needed these to be able to play and sing at church. They work very well! Especially for the price!

DO NOT PURCHASE FOR POST-PRODUCTION WORK!!!The compander built into the transmitter is unbelievably strong, and will destroy anything quiet. It just has an amplitude warble to it that is impossible to remove in post without removing all semi-quiet sounds across the board. Needless to say, this is not at all appropriate for post-production work where every sound needs to be perfectly discernible (even the semi-quiet things like breaths). I returned my set for a full refund. PLEASE NOTE that this system is NOT TRUE-DIVERSITY!!! The two antennae on the back are for individual frequencies, not for true-diversity reception.The user manual? Forget it. don't even open it unless you want to laugh or cry. It's useless as a manual, as it is written in the worst garbled English I've ever seen. DO NOT purchase this product unless you have some basic understanding of audio equipment already, because you're not getting help from the manual.In general, the build quality is cheap, but you get what you pay for. The mic elements are pretty big for a mic that is supposed to be low-profile. The headset microphones are RIDICULOUSLY uncomfortable. I didn't buy this system for those mics, but I would never torture my talent by asking them to wear such uncomfortable mics.The peak meters on the front are pretty worthless. They only serve to tell you that there's a signal and that it's moving. I wouldn't rely on them to monitor the levels at all. The giant blue panel may be LED, but it's LED in the same way that a home alarm clock is LED; it's just info about the frequencies used, and NONE of the info on that "screen" changes. It's basically worthless.

These microphones are not even good for home karaoke. I was very disappointed because I had bought several other GTD products from Audio-USA, but this one was just not good at all. The sound quality makes me think that they may be defective. When I initiated a return, I would be responsible for shipping costs. So now I would have been out additional money and have nothing to show for. What a disappointment for a return customer.
