Arai SAQ Faceshield - One Size

I have an Arai Profile helmet. It's an older helmet and really hard to find a shield/visor. This on fit perfectly. It was brand new, and very clear (no plastic fading)

I was debating on whether or not I REALLY needed a new face shield, as my original one had gotten a few noticeable scratches along the sight-line… Once I installed this new one and took my first ride, all of a sudden I could see as if there were no shield at all!! Arai makes QUALITY helmets, and the same goes for their shields!

Shield fits prefectly, no issues. This was for an older helemt that I still use periodically. Be aware that this comes from Japan so you will have to pay additionally shipping costs. Still worth it, its nice to have a new shield that I can see through again.

長く使っていると、丁寧にクリーンアップしているつもりでも、細かな傷がはいります。古いシールドのままだと、朝日や夕日、夜間の乱反射は非常に危険！出来るだけ早めに交換するのがベターです、

外すのは簡単だが、はめるのにはかなりコツがいる。まず、ホールダーの思ったより上の方に入れる。かなり力をいれて押し込む。壊れるかと思う位押さないと入っていかない。付属しているシリコングリースは伊達ではなく、さきっちょに十分塗らないと滑りが悪く入っていかない。樹脂も先は斜めにけずってあるが、この仕上げがアライ、ではなくて荒い！！ここに紙やすりをかけると入りやすい。まあねじ回しが入らない、というが、個人的にはねじ回しではめた方がいいと思う。アライというのは、漢というか、頑固というか、思い込みが強すぎる、というか、不親切なところがある。カワサキのバイクのようなもんか。スネル規格に拘りすぎて、本質を忘れている。ジェットはつくるのにシステムヘルメットは作らないとか、ヘンじゃないか？

シールドの性能は文句なしですが。ヘルメットにホルダーを取り付けたままだとどうしてもシールドが入らず、結局ホルダーを外して装着。ほんとにホルダー付けたまま交換できるのでしょうか？

久しぶりにヘルメットを引っ張り出してきたらシールドに傷が・・・視界に入る部分の傷だったので新品に交換。クリアな視界が戻ってきました。
