I have always been very intimidated by trying to paint faces, and this book really breaks it down to where I'm thinking..."I CAN DO THIS"!!! I waited several months for it to be released and now I know it was worth the wait!!!Great large color illustrations and excellent explanations. At last an art technique book that is well worth the price!!Thank You!!!!!

Great little book on FACES. It's easy, peasy, and so much fun when the "teacher" is really thorough and easy to follow. Amarilys Henderson had given us a hands-on easy way to draw and paint fun little expressive faces. I love the book and the steps as she takes you through them, making it easier to create those little stinkers and divas as you want. I love the variety of expressions you can achieve from all the simple lines and the interpretations you can get from a little practice ... which I need MORE of. FUN FUN FUN!

Just received this today and started on it immediately! What a fun-filled understandable book. I'm so excited to see how I progress in drawing and painting faces. As the author says, not portraits which is totally different, but truly catching character and essences by painting faces. What a great distinction that I think I understand for the first time. Let the adventure begin!

If you like to create both realistic and "cartoony" faces, this book fills the bill! It shows the basics of how to construct faces (basically) and put the information to work in practical terms. Very nice book! You will like this basic face-drawing book!!

I purchased this for my daughter who was struggling to draw faces on her own. Not only has she started drawing faces, she's gotten really good! I would definitely recommend this book to any young artist.

This book covers so much that so many others don't. Firstly it covers DRAWING and PAINTING so that you get a solid foundation in drawing. Then moves on to painting in watercolor. Covers expressions as well as a well as a wide range of skin colors you don't find in most books. Can't recommend enough

This fun little book is full of practical tips that make drawing faces fun to explore and easy to understand. I felt successful literally within the first 10 minutes, and was excited to see what I am capable of by following the exercises. Highly recommend it!

A great resource for painting and drawing some very interesting little faces. Also bought one for my granddaughter for Christmas. She loves it.

I really like this book. It is for beginners or non artists who want to draw faces not portraits. It shows you different kinds of facial features and how to draw them. I have become a lot more confident since using this book.It would be a great gift for a young person interested in art and sketching.
