Cadet Single Pole Built-in Thermostat Kit for Com-Pak Heaters (Model: CTT1W), 22 Amp, White

Unfortunately this part does not last long at all. I am a master electrician (only mention to express competency), installed this part to repair a thermostat that wouldn’t shut off when heat level reached. This part worked just about a month before giving out and staying in the on position constantly, meaning it could not be turn off manually and had to be an emergency call for me to kill power at the breaker. This is highly unsafe and a design flaw. Also I did my due diligence by taking an amp draw on each leg of the feed and testing the resistance of each heater, finding no breakdown of heater or motor, the unit was in the correct ranges. At this point I’m convinced it was a failure of this part alone. Hopefully this review helps the company redesign their product to ensure customer safety, if it fails it should stay in the opened position, and it should last for at least one season!
