supposed to be for garbage disposal but not
it slips right into the existing drain which is nice but it has a fitting that prevents food from getting into the garbage disposal when the strainer is removed.

Disposal Flange Poor Design
The rubber O ring pops off when the strainer is removed. I replaced it with a metal snap ring and now it works perfect.

Perfect fit!
Great quality. Buy a proper brass collar for your disposal painted black, but you must buy this heavy duty polymer insert, because the black paint will come off your disposal collar quickly...every time.

A must for black matte kitchen sinks
Fits snugly in my matte black composite sink and was a must replacement due to my garbage disposal unit. Works well although I've removed the bottom filter in order to more readily get small food residue into the disposal area.
