Cons: • Requires Multiple Coats: Depending on the surface, I found that I needed at least two to three coats to get a solid, even color, especially on lighter or rougher surfaces. • Slightly Thin Consistency: The paint is a bit thinner than some other exterior paints I’ve used, so I had to be careful to avoid drips and ensure a smooth finish. Overall: Rust-Oleum Exterior Paint in Gray is a solid choice for outdoor projects. It offers great durability and a nice finish, but be prepared for the need for multiple coats, especially on textured surfaces. Great metal paint. I prime with a rust converter and paint. Color is great. Good coverage but a second coat gives great results. Will buy again.

Durable, Glossy Paint That Holds Up Indoors and Out Rust-Oleum’s Stops Rust enamel in gloss white is one of those products I keep coming back to. I’ve used it on everything from a metal fence to outdoor furniture and even some concrete trim, and it never disappoints. The finish comes out bright, shiny, and smooth, making old, weathered surfaces look brand new again. Application is straightforward—this is an oil-based paint, so it brushes on thick and levels out well without much effort. Coverage is excellent (a quart goes further than you’d think), though like most enamels, it’s best to use two thin coats for the most durable finish. It dries to the touch in a couple of hours, but I’ve learned to let it cure overnight before handling or re-coating for best results. Durability is where this shines. It resists fading, chipping, and rust even in direct sun and rain. I’ve had projects painted years ago that still look solid with just the occasional rinse. It also adheres well to wood and masonry, not just metal. A couple of notes: being oil-based, cleanup requires mineral spirits, not just soap and water. Also, it has a stronger odor while drying, so ventilation is important if you’re using it indoors. Bottom line: A proven, heavy-duty enamel that leaves a high-gloss professional finish and truly protects against rust. Perfect for fences, doors, railings, and outdoor projects where you want both looks and longevity.

The paint is good, it is just me, I am sure. I have never used an enamel, oil based paint. I used it to paint our very old, rusty pool filter. My husband was supposed to build a cover for it, well 10 years later, still hasn't been built, so I decided to paint it. :) It turned out okay. Since painting outside and it was breezy, the paint was drying as I was painting and made a mess of things. Also, since it is oil based, be sure to get mineral oil or similar to remove any paint you get on yourself and for the brushes. You cannot use soap and water. I am sure the experienced knows this, but I did not. Also, get the right brush for the material you are painting on. I was painting on metal and the brush left brush marks. I have learned from this all. Note: I have ordered a new valve for the top, just hasn't arrived yet. :)

These people make excellent Paint if you put it on correctly and last for a long time, I’ve even painted over rust and never had a problem

I’m very happy with the final look using the gloss white paired with the primer from the same brand plus it was easy to work with.

This is a Rustoleum color that is not available locally. It is a quality product that I have not been disappointed with. I mainly wanted to say that the seller delivered the product in a heavier weight box and the package arrived a day earlier. I have had other cans of Rustoleum that arrived dented during shipping due to the thinner Amazon boxes that really don’t protect against shipping damage. I would gladly buy from this seller again.

My only problem is that the can was damaged fortunately the paint didn’t come out

My packages went to two different towns before it actually arrived at my destination, the box was all damaged on the outside, and when I opened the package, the cans were all dented.

Looks like it could be sprayed right out of the can. Excellent adhesion to bare metal and great finish when dried 24 hrs
