Hacker ordered this product and wrote review w/o my knowledge
This is the original review written by a hacker: "I am getting ready for my new kid and nothing better than something that looks good and was so easy install. One thing I did different than the instructions, as I installed on wood, I have put different screws so the wood don't crack."I did not order this product. Much to my surprise, I received a package with this product at my doorstep. Days later, I received an email notification that the above comment was posted. I did not write this comment. The owner of this product utilizes hackers to fraudulently purchase and deliver a product utilizing a compromised email.

Use Command Strips instead
I have an older dog in a lift harness whom I did not want attempting to go upstairs on her own. For months I just used an old wooden baby gate at the bottom of the stairs but that often slipped down or fell over, so I thought I'd try this. So far, perfect. I only have the top two corners attached to the wooden bannister posts because the visual deterrent is all I need. But I used Command Strip L-hooks rather than the 3M stickies like the ones that came with this because I think there is much less chance of the Command Strips adhesive causing permanent damage to the bannister post.

Easy to install and use- great price point!
We bought this gate for our dogs. We were using baby gates, which not only marked up the walls but forced us to have to step over them to get by. That was tricky- especially when we had to carry things. We didn't want to have to drill holes into the wall for a more permanent gate so this was a great alternative. This mesh gate is so much better than a baby gate- there are four clear adhesive hooks that attach to the wall which are easy to install. And they aren't extremely noticeable since they are clear. It's easy to remove the mesh gate from the hooks to walk through. You can actually get by with just removing the gate from one top corner only- see picture. We do have a little bit of space underneath the gate due to the position of the actual hook in relation to the adhesive square they are on. For us it's fine- our neato vacuum can squeeze through with the gate up. But if you have a small (or determined) dog that may be an issue for you.So far our dogs haven't figured out that they can plow through or chew it if they really want to- so it has been working out well for us. If you have a smart, defiant or energetic dog this mesh gate may not work.My only concern is how well the adhesive hooks will last. It's good they provide four extra hooks just in case. I gave durability 4 stars because I don't know how long the hooks will last. For the price it does it's job and I'm happy with this purchase.

Good for blocking aging dogs
I bought to block my aging dogs from a bedroom when I need to keep the door open for our robot vacuum. We have a dog who, because of seizure meds, has a heightened sense of smell, thirst and hunger. He tries to get in to everything (cabinets, drawers, toilets, everything). I did not use the hooks that came with this though but rather some Command Strip hooks (see pictures) since my dogs are elderly and do not jump much nor do I have a small child to block off. The hooks I am using are working great and I'm not worried about wall damage. I hung it low enough the dogs cannot go under but high enough the vacuum can.The fabric seems as if it would tear easily so if you have a dog/cat that is higher energy and would claw at this, I would recommend looking around for another product. If your dog/cat is like mine and couldn't be bothered with clawing at it, this is well worth the money.

Just what we needed
We use this gate to block our bedroom. We have found that we just need to hook the top and bottom on one side to act like a hinge and then just the top on the side we open. Since the gate is wider than the door frame, our dog does not even bother to nudge it. Makes it much easier to go in and out. We did use Command hooks instead and the are working just fine.

Does not work for smart dogs
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. If your dog is smart and is a chewer... this will not work

Its a quick fix but causes damage to walls.
My biggest issue is the damage the adhesive does to walls. The adhesive does not need to be so strong, if you even lightly put it in a spot to see if it will fit, it can tear paint of wall trimming, or break up the surface of a walls paint and texture. I am renting an apartment so I am a bit scared if I will get in trouble for the damage it has caused. It works ok and overall I will keep using it because I need my cats to stay out of the kitchen. I don't recommend this for people renting or who are concerned about damage. Unless you have a way around it, you could possibly use some type of stickers to put before these. Also it is not for cats my cats are just very obedient I just needed a deterrent for my kitchen area and they listen well most of the time.

Innovative idea to keep pets on one side
I used it to introduce my cat to her cousin. It was fun to keep one pat on one side as we introduce them
