I gave only 4 stars of compatibility. You must have Intel video card on your laptop. So far, it's working just fine on blu ray disc.

It has turned out much better that what I had expected. The quality and capacity are excellent.

Excellent device, super portable, very easy to use, it also reads any DVD or Bluray regardless of the region it has. I am very happy with this purchase.

It's definitely one of the slimmest and lightest players. It's smaller then the LG I'm replacing it with. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I like that the top opens to put the disk in instead of a treat coming out the front. I bought it to use with my MacBook Air m1 but it doesn't come with any software that is available for Windows users.

I got this because it came with a case and did blu rays and all our blu ray players seem to break as soon as we buy them. Works great. Its light and tiny. It was more expensive than I would have liked however.

The case is a nice extra. I bought the Pioneer Blu-ray player/writer to burn Blue-ray discs of videos I have shot. I have only made one Blue-ray disk but it did a good job making an hour recording of video I shot in 4K (it was about 21 G so I had to buy a 50 G recordable disk). I found out that all computers won't play a Blue-ray disk. It works on my laptop but not my desktop computer. I did not use the software that came with the player. I use Cyberlink PowerDVD20 to play Blue-rayrs and Cyberlink Power2Go 13 to burn the disks.

I bought it to see 4K UHD movies on my Windows 11 computer but when I tried to see one I got an error saying "Cannot play UHD discs, Intel SGX disabled by BIOS". After searching a lot for a solution I found out that the "Intel SGX" has been deprecated and will never be available again. So now I have a UHD player that can't play UHD.

This light and portable DVD / Blue-ray reader / writer is the perfect thing to go between my laptop PC and my Macbook. Since neither one have optical drives anymore this was a great way to have one for whenever I need it. Comes with USB and USB-C adapters. Includes a downloadable suite and product key for activation. The box states CyberLink Suite 10, however upon downloading it ended up loading CyberLink Suite-14. There is a fee to upgrade to CyberLink Suite 19, but I am not sure it's necessary for what I am using it for. Comes with a handy carrying case as well. Slim and light weight.
