This tent was ordered to go in my bugout bag for my car. The ease of use is great!! Took me 3 minutes to get it up and another 5 minutes to put the rainfly on only because I was taking my time with the options. The size of the bag is pretty compact for its size. It fits me, my 6’3 husband, 16 yr old , 5 ye old and american bull dog comfortably. It seems very stable, but I haven’t taken it outside yet. I’ll waterproof it before I camp in it. I really like that the rainfly reaches to ground level and completely covers the entire tent. No worries about ventilation because there are ventilation pockets on two sides at the very top of the tent ⛺️ as you can see in the pics. You have the ability to open or close on each side at your leisure. The tent is made of a lightweight material, but very durable at the same time. The material comes half way ip and then it’s mesh before the top which goes back to material. This makes it versatile for 3 seasons guaranteed. Winter would require additional insulation for it to work but it would certainly keep rain, winds and snow off you. Putting it all back in the bag was bad at all, ofcourse it never fits the same as when you took it out, butit did fit back in without breaking a sweat. It light enough for the 5 yr old to carry (see pic). One of my favorite tents so far. I will update my review when I take it out. Happy Camping people 😊

We tested this tent and it’s tried and true! So far, so good. It’s our first backpacking tent and we bought it for a Cub Scout backpacking hike. The setup is incredibly easy and my 9yo had no problem handing it himself. We bought the 2 person which was great because it fits two people AND your gear inside. We didn’t buy the footprint yet but grabbed a 6x8 tarp instead. The forecast called for some light to moderate rain but we found ourselves in bouts of pouring rain and two rounds of hail (pea and blueberry sized!) that lasted all night. It was bad enough that many of us slept in our vehicles but left most of our gear in the tent. The next morning we broke it down and a lot of water pooled between the tarp and the tent bottom. Although it felt a bit damp from condensation, our gear was dry. We didn’t realize there are two ventilation flaps you can open at the top. Had we used them, the condensation wouldn’t have been a problem. I’m impressed, to say the least! Time will tell how durable it is but it’s an excellent small tent with plenty of room and it’s reasonably light. I recommend for a kid’s first solo tent, especially if they’re a Scout. We’ll be getting the footprint to go with it and it will likely be our new go-to tent for Scouting events.

I lived in Mongolia as an expat American from 2002-2022 (came back to US toward the end of COVID). As you may well imagine, Mongolia is campers' paradise. With only 3.5 million humans in a land mass the size of Alaska, the naturescapes are vast, abundant, pristine, and profound in their variety. Camping is about as second-nature to Mongolians as watching football is to Americans. I had not been camping since I returned to the US in December 2022, and my soul really needed a return to nature. I was looking out for gear for months. But since I was on a very tight budget, I had to be scrupulous about the right quality tent at the right price. I decided to take a chance on this one: Clostnature Polaris Lightweight Backpacking Tent. I was definitely skeptical. Back in Mongolia, my old warhorse tent was a Tatonka - the king of European-engineered rigor! OK - back to Clostnature Polaris Lightweight Backpacking Tent. The advertisement did not lie. I did 2 nights out in the bush solo camping this past weekend. The tent will comfortably sleep 2 normal-sized people. (By normal-sized, I mean adventurous/outdoorsy folks who are fit and average to light in weight.) The tent itself is fine mesh - lacking any additional polyester knitting to toughen up the sides. It's all mesh to the flooring material (as in the picture). Durable? OK. Yes. With caveats: durable in moderate to light winds under 20 mph sustained. I got the feeling that the thin aluminum poles would not withstand sustained wind pressure over 30 mph, or gusts in excess of 40 mph. Over the weekend, I enjoyed moderately windy and rainy weather, but was snug and dry within the tent. The fly withstood both wind and rain. Nevertheless, during the strongest gusts, my mind wistfully reminisced the rather thicker tent poles for my Tatonka workhorse tent back in Mongolia, and I wondered whether I could find a set of thicker aluminum poles to fit the assembly rings on this Clostnature Polaris 2-person ultralight. Oh yeah. Ultralight - it is that. I hauled this tent in my camping backpack along with kitchen mess kit, food and essentials, riding my bicycle 35 km. Assembly? I got it up in fewer that 15 minutes in gusty wind. I'm experienced, so as soon as I assembled the main tent, I dropped my backpack within to hold it down from blowing away while I affixed the fly. The fly has plastic snap-locks at each corner to quickly attach to the tent base at the pole eyes. The tent stakes are strong and were easy to insert into the clay ground of the terrain. But bear in mind that if you pitch this tent on rocky soil and have to hammer down those stakes? You are liable to bend or break them. The packaging is exemplary, and the manufacturer included additional cordage to tie down the fly for windy conditions. I did not bother to tie them down on this trip. Unless the weather is terrifically windy? I shy away from cordage extensions for stability - because I inevitably trip on the cords during night walks. In sum. This is an excellent value for the price $69 in my case for an ultralight 1 or 2 person tent. The fly offers excellent shield from rain. Engineering is stable for sustained winds up to 20 mph, but I would be wary of sticking this tent on a mountainside with gusts over 40 mph. For the casual weekend jaunt at the local forest preserve? This is an excellent deal. Edited: Amazon just posted my initial review and I thought it might be helpful to add pictures and a short addendum. I decided to return this 3-Season tent and grab the Clostnature Libra Lightweight 4-Season - because it appears to be that much warmer and more snug. While the 3-Season tent is probably better suited to more southern states, up here in Illinois weather, the 4-season might be the better option! I'll review that purchase after I take it out for a test drive in a few weeks. Meanwhile, note that after reviewing the 3-season, I liked the product enough that I went back to same vendor. That should say something to readers. I am a scrupulous consumer/bargain hunter.

UPDATE 1:used the Polaris on a camping trip this weekend. No rain but heavy dew at night. Temps around 50 at night. I noticed very little condensation inside the fly with both vents open. The tent mesh keeps you off the fly. I was very impressed with the room I had for all my gear. Zips worked flawlessly. I was even able to take my small backpacking chair inside. I was a little worried about the chair feet on the tent floor but had no problems. I use a tarp underneath and I think maybe adding a towel to sit the chair on would help even more. I stayed dry and warm. It exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. After doing hours of product reviews, I chose the Polaris. I spend an average 30 nights a year in a tent. My Kelty was just a little cramped with gear, so I wanted something just a little larger. The tent arrived in short order and was complete in the package. The storage bag was sufficient. Not too heavy for medium-distance backpacking trips. I put the tent up in my yard and was pleased with the construction, materials, and size. The aluminum poles are lightweight and I found this tent to be very easy to set up. Took about 5 mins. No sleeves to deal with. I did not notice any odors in the tent. The zippers seem sufficient and come with little reflective pull strings. This is a nice touch and can help you find the zippers at night (especially if you're in a hurry to get out). The interior is roomy and there is a small vestibule at either door. Reflective tie-outs are provided if you want to use them. The tent pegs are beefier than the average cheap peg, but I still bent 2 even while being careful. I'll replace them as I usually do with better pegs. So far I'm satisfied. I have another camping trip in a few weeks. If I have any problems with the tent, I'll do an update, but I don't expect any. It may be my tent for Denali next year. I'm 5'11, 215 lbs. I think it would fit me and one other. If you're looking for an affordable tent with plenty of room and great construction, check this one out. UPDATE 2: July 2026: I’ve used this tent for a while and have taken it on numerous camping and backpacking trips. It’s light enough to backpack. I’m finishing up a 12-day camping/backing trip to Denali and Kenai as I write this. The tent has held up famously, just as well as more-expensive brands. It has kept me dry during downpours and didn’t budge with 35 mph winds. I’m more than satisfied with this tent. I used a lightweight piece of plastic for a ground cloth. Set up annd takedown is less than 10 mins. It has a ton of room inside. I can even take my camp chair inside (very convenient for ann old man (66). I purchased the same tent (2-man) for my grandson and He’s used it anll through Alaska with no issues. All pros and no cons. Buy this tent.

Ive spent 8 nights on two separate trips in the last three weeks in this tent, setting it up and taking it down multiple times. I took it camping and backpacking. Its not an ultralite backpacking option, but it was awesome to have a 2 man space backpacking. I love this tent. It was a piece of cake to set up, was designed for one person to set up easily and came in an oversize bag. One small thing I didnt realize until I got it is the rain fly determines what side is the entrance, which I liked more than I thought. I just set up the tent where I wanted it, then decided where I wanted the door (it has identical doors on each side). Seems like a dumb thing, but I found it surprisingly convenient. Highly recommend!

Very nice little tent. Got the 7 x 7 size. Goes up exceptionally easy with one person, very spacious and love the two doors. The full coverage rain fly is great and you can tie it back in warm weather for lots of cross ventilation through both doors. Leave your shoes just outside in vestibule area and they will stay dry, if you’re not in blowing rain. I have not used it in rain yet so can’t speak to keeping you dry. It packs up small and light and goes back in bag easily. I don’t use it for backpacking but makes a great little car camping tent for one or two people. I would get one of the smaller ones for backpacking. It’s a keeper.

This tent worked well for my 4 days kayaking the Green River, UT. I needed a light tent for travel, I put the tent in a plastic bag and strapped this on top of my kayak! The weather was so incredible I almost left the stakes and top cover at home to lighten the load. For this trip I only set up the tent. I left the top cover off so that I could see the stars at night. I purchased the 2 person tent, I am 5'9" and the tent fit me well. If you are any taller your head and feet might rub along the tent. The tent is easy to set up and it actually fits back in the bag for storage. I fit a few other items in the tent bag during my trip.

I've used this tent on a few excursions in the past year. Overall for the money it's a decent value, but there are a few big limitations. On the plus side, it's a good 1 person tent. You can get two people in there, but I prefer to bring all of my gear in the tent. With the rain fly on you'll get a tiny area of a vestibule to tuck some gear, but it's best to bring it inside. The tent also goes up quickly because the poles are all exterior and the tent quick-snaps to the poles. It's also fine for 1 person to put it together without too much hassle. There's also a few nooks inside the tent to put a headlight or other essentials you might need in the middle of the night. I also liked the large screen area on both sides. On the minus side, I found the zipper constantly got stuck with the material on the outside of the tent. The shroud around the zipper is needed to keep water from getting in, but it bunched up too easily, fouling the zipper. Second, there isn't a thicker liner/material around the bottom of the tent. This is great for backpacking because it's less bulky but unless you have a thick layer of pine straw beneath the tent, you'll feel every imperfection on the ground. With my self-inflating matt my sleep wasn't impacted but I question the longevity of the tent with the material used for the bottom. Fortunately for me I packed a tarp to put beneath the tent. Third, one of the quick-release snaps broke off upon first use. Fortunately, there are two wings for each snap, but there's no way to easily replace them. I drilled a small hole and use a length of 550 cord to secure the quick-release. Overall I'm okay with the purchase, especially if you consider good tents cost multiples of this one. I didn't get to test the tents waterproofness because it never rained. But if I was doing the tour divide or serious back-packing, I'd ante up for something else. That being said, don't listen to YouTube reviews of tents. Many get their tents for free and don't represent commoners. One last thing... I replaced the cheesy ground stakes with some better ones via Amazon. That's not a big deal though. It's common for inexpensive tents to have flimsy stakes.

I have been really impressed by this tent! It is really compact when packed up, especially for a tent at this price point. The carrying bag it comes with fits everything great and has straps that you can cinch to make it even smaller. Its also fairly light considering the price point- around 5 pounds for a 2 person tent isn't bad. It is VERY easy and fast to set up, the body of the tent attaches to the poles using little clips which make setup a breeze. It has 4 internal mesh pockets for small items which are handy for glasses or a headlamp. The interior doors are nice and large and roll back neatly, and I like having the two exterior door options (the wide one with the two zippers is my favourite). As others have mentioned, the vestibules are quite small so if you are using it for two people there is not a lot of gear storage space. Bags can fit, but I found they got wet due to dew and condensation as they were right up against the tent wall. I brought along a couple of garbage bags as extra protection from this. I haven't had much opportunity (luckily) to test out just how waterproof the fly is, and I always add an extra layer of reflective tarp as a groundsheet underneath the tent to protect the floor and add a touch of insulation. Overall I really love this tent- great price and is just what I needed

I haven't yet slept in the tent, but as soon as it arrived I assembled it and was delighted with the fast, easy setup and nice design features. It packs down nicely to fit in a backpack, and only slightly heavier than my super-lightweight tent that's tiny and a pain to set up. Can't wait to use it.

Great tent which packs up really small. Got a single blow up bed in there without issue, but would probably fit a double also. With the single there was room for storage. Used for a weekend camping. No moisture inside the tent in the mornings.
