I usually buy art books to read about the concept and decisions around the art, not just for pure pictures of the subject. This book did not disappoint me at all, in fact I think if you're looking at any game dev, this should be one of your textbooks. If you want to gain some incredible understanding into the story of Remember Me, while a very average game, the story and art style is among some of the best. I feel the game came to short comings as the story was almost too good to fit into a singular game, or within the confines of such a player base. This is coming from a student studying BCT at AUT and game dev so I'm looking critically into this in how it would help me, not just a purely entertainment purpose, although I feel this book nails both. You're greeted by a very well designed book cover and then 3 pages of text by the Creative Director and Art Directors. This is a great intro and allows you to really get the feel of the book. Every page usually has text about the decisions made and why. The world in Remember Me is so intricately detailed and this book goes even more in depth, its a book into the mind of the studio and its such a shame the game didn't hit higher ratings. Overall, if you want a genuinely engrossing art book, that you can easily pick up for inspiration and detailed concepts of stunning scenery, just buy the damn thing. Review: Great art book detailing a very interesting game - The book is pretty remarkable. The aesthetic is gritty-slick and thematic yet very detailed which is cool. The captions and other info is also interesting. There are so many quality images and layouts to explore that you'll likely find artistic inspiration with virtually every turn of the page. Basically, it's a worthwhile addition to the art book library of fans of the game and certainly those who enjoy examining cool landscapes, environments and character designs.

Stunningly Gorgeous
Absolutely wonderful. Aghhh I can't explain how much this book means to me. The artwork is superb. Every page was a treat, it was like my eyes couldn't get enough. I played Remember Me a while back and I was really impressed by the art of the video game. It made a huge impression on me (because I LOVE cyberpunk) and dare I say, it's definitely a game I'll remember for being different and original. I could tell the art director and the concept artists had a lot of love for this project because it was reflected in their stunning artwork. Boy, and do I mean stunning. I was just mindblown by how gorgeous the pieces were. Ugh, there are no words to describe how I felt. Please check out this game and the art if you haven't already. You'll see what I mean. In the back of the book there's a message that says "I hope this book inspires you" and indeed it does inspire me. There are days when I feel really bad about my artwork, but these books give me incentive to work harder until I reach my goals. Hopefully someday I'll be a concept artist with my work featured on beloved projects just like this. Five stars. I loved it. I wish I could give it more. One of my favourite books, definitely.

This book is a great way to deepen into the compelling world ot Remember Me,
Even if Remember Me plot and mechanics' are not groundbreaking, it may have one of the best concept art in videogames. DONTNOD, under the direction of Aleksi Briclot, did a great job reinterpreting the cyberpunk style, making it its own. This book is a great way to deepen into Neo-Paris and the compelling world ot Remember Me. Here you'll find tons of sketches and concept art of the characters and backgrounds. You'll realize all the tiny little detail put on every aspect of the game. If you are a fan of the game or a fan of sci-fi in general, you won't be dissapointed.

Damn Good
Great to sit down and read. Tells us a lot of the thinking that went into it and provides a lot of lore/history that any fan of the game or sci-fi will love.

The game was okay but the art direction was very inspired.
I am an avid collector of art books and had often gone past this one as I looked through Amazon's selection. Of course I didn't buy it on the spot as I had not actually played the game. But once I checked it out I immediately noticed that the gameplay was nothing to write home about, the designs on the other hand vibrant, moving and really impressive. So once the artbook arrived at my house, I immediately flipped to the area design section of the book and all of it was intricate and incredibly inspired. Although they briefly go into the character design stages I felt those were rather under whelming. The enemy designed however were very cool to see. I recommend this as a strong buy.

Curious and Wonderful
If one is a fan of the game, this is a curious and wonderful compliment to a Dontnod collection. If one is an artist / illustrator in real life, then this is a good instigator of sparking creativity.

Remember Me had a very unique and compelling game world. This art book details the journey that Dontnod took to create this world, from the sprawling Neo-Paris environments all the way down to the fictional logos. The art has an unmistakable French aesthetic to it, one that you will not find in American games. Highly recommended.
