SpeedballArt Products Canvas Pencil Case Holds Up To 120 Pencils, Steel Blue

Solid product
I bought several sizes from this line to hold Faber Castell & Derwent Inktense pencils. All are great. Smooth zip open & close, easy to pack. The elastics are snug at first but stretch over a day or two. Now each loop easily holds 4 pencils. Would buy again.

The PERFECT pencil case!
I bought two of the 120 pencil cases, one in black for most of my Prismacolor pencils and one in steel blue for the neutral Prismacolor pencils and to hold my Inktense pencils. I do have three pencils of each in each section of elastic, and while it was harder to put three pencils in each slot that first day, I find that the elastic has adjusted to having the three pencils and it isn't as hard to get them out or in anymore, and this is just after a few days. My Inktense are still a bit tight as they are larger sized pencils than the Prismacolors, and I'm sure that in time they will be easier to get in and out too. With that said, I love these cases!! They feel durable and it's convenient to have all my pencils in a compact case, instead of the flimsy plastic trays that they come in, which take up more room than the case, or in my situation, the two cases, as you just flip the 'page' and you have the rest of your colors there close at hand, instead of reaching out for a tray that has to be kept at arms length because you can't have them all close at thesame time. I have also, folded back the open case, so I only have one page up, which would make it the same size as when the case is closed. I do this because I also use them sitting on the couch and put the case on the arm for easy access.I did not have any of the issues of previous reviewers, and I bought two of them, and both of them are perfect and hold all my pencils as the case was designed to hold them. I did read that the elastic will relax it's death grip on the pencils as it adjusts to them too, you just need to give it some time to do it's magic. I am very happy with this purchase and the product. Thank you Global for a great case!

Love this so much I bought a second
I switched all of my prismacolor pencils to this and would say that it holds about 80 pencils comfortably. Three will fit per slot, but i'm not as comfortable with that and leave all of mine two to a slot. I love the zipper snaps and the case feels good quality. The case is not quite twice as thick as the 72 count prismacolor tin, and is slightly smaller than it in other dimensions so it doesn't feel like it's taking up more space to store them this way. I loved the case so much a bought a smaller version for my drawing supplies.

I love this pencil case!
I own five of these to hold my color pencil sets. As advertised, the case holds 120 pencils in a very neat, secure and protected manner as well as the case being available in several really nice colors . When the case is completely full, it is about the size of an I-pad and about and inch and a half in thickness. It travels very well and the zipper tab has a snap at the end which doubles the security and protection of the your pencils. I highly recommend this case to anyone who desires a well-built pencil case for their pencil collections.

Worst Designed Pencil Case Ever
This is the worst designed pencil case I ever encountered. It looks really nice on the outside, and received good reviews. However, the elastic is so tight it breaks the points off my pencils and about half of my pencils like Blackwing and Ebony don't even fit. The ones that do fit are a pain to get in and out. Also, there are no pockets or places to store tools such as erasers and blending stumps. The person who designed this is most likely not an artist.

Definitely fits 120 Prismacolors
I received one of these pencil cases as a gift, and I liked it so much I bought another one for myself and one for my mom. It easily fits 3 Prismacolor softcore pencils in each elastic (with a bit of twisting). The zippers and snaps work well, the material is thick, and the cases seem sturdy (though I haven't used them anywhere but home). The only real drawback is that brand new, unsharpened pencils are almost too long for the case--they have to be positioned perfectly before it can be zipped. Even 1/4 inch more height to the case would make new pencils fit so much better.

Loved these Global Arts cases for years, BUT no they are Speedball, quality is lacking
I love these pencil cases with the wider elastic loops that can hold 3 pencils or 2 pens or other items making them more flexible than cases with single pencil loops only. In my previous 3 cases I never had any issues with getting 3 Prismacolors or Star Joy Golds or Marco Raffine pencils in them. This time I wanted to put 3 Schprierr Farben pencils to each loop, but it was a very, very tight fit, making it difficult to get them in and out when I have 3 to a loop...I am disappointed that apparently there has been a change in the elastic. I can only hope the loops will stretch some with repeated use but this is going to be a real pain to deal with.:-( I did check to see how it worked with my Prismas and experienced the same issue, so it isn't the pencil size with these two brands.

Very Happy
I am so happy with this company's pencil cases --- you pay for long lasting quality! These were recommended by "Coloring Pages Bliss" Jennifer Stay. I have 3 of this size and 2 cases for 48 pencils. Each slot will hold 3 round pencils such as Prisma: or 2 Derwent colored pencils which are shaped like the yellow #2 lead pencils; or 2 gel pens in each slot such as DoodleArt or Artlicious gel pens; or 1 Sharpie marker or 1 highlighter or 1 Micron pen or 1 waterbrush (holds water with paint brush on end -- great with Derwent intense watercolor pencils; or 2 Gelly Roll gel pens or 1 Pilot G-2 gel pen. Hope this helps. The elastic they use is of high quality and stays its shape with use.

Very strong
I own a few of the Speedball pencil holders and I love them. Depending on the width of the pencil they will hold quite a few pencils. I know when I am looking for pencil holders I like to see what pencils other customers put in their cases.I can put all of my Caran Dache Pablos (120) in one case. My 150 Holbein set needed two cases.....so the pastels are in one case. This works out well for me because the 50 Holbein pastels are used all the time and with all of my pencils. I can only only fit 2 Luminance in each slot, and the same with the Faber Castell polychromos.I bought some of these pencil cases when they were branded Global Art. They have not been altered.Very strong and will last years....for me.

Very well made
Very well made and don’t take up too much space. I bought 2 of these and I have my Lyra poly colour pencils in one and my black widow pencils in another. So easy to see your colours. The only thing I would add is, although you can fit 3 pencils per slot, I find it difficult to get pencils in and out smoothly and easy, it works like a charm with only 2 pencils per slot. I like to get my pencils in and out easily and quickly so two pencils per slot is what I do.
