A Field Full of Horses: Read and Wonder Paperback – Picture Book, August 1, 2001

I remember having listen and read books when I was young. Now it seems you can't find ANY variety. So I gave this book a go.....Uuuumm WOW! I do a lot of in home Child Care at other households and from ages 24 mo - 7 years, this book is captivating. The illustrations are very nice. The reading, of course it's Bob the Builder!!The only critique I have is that the "embellishment" sounds are not present on the track with page turn signals. There are also some pages with very little writing and so it seems to fly-by those pages more quickly.The bonus track with horse facts is really detailed. I have an older child who is at a reading comprehension level that is very responsive to this track.I can't think of a better way to spend $9. This book has only been in my possession for about two weeks and the kids always ask if I have it when I arrive.

Love this book! I read it all the time as a kid, now I gift it to all my friends who have kids and love horses. The art work is beautiful, the book is informational, and teaches as well as is fun to read and see all the vivid pictures on each page.

Kenneth Lilly at his best! Beautiful horses with perfectly equine expressions illustrate this lovely book.

granddaughter loves it!

This was a great book for a three year old. He enjoyed picking out his favorite horse.Beatiful pictures in the book.

My 2 year old son loves this book. He likes to pick out his favorite horse on the page with all the various colors of horses. It also teaches anatomy and the tools used to take care of a horse. Beautiful pictures as well.

Great book for kids

My daughter of 4 years absolutely loves this book and the series is truly fabulous for those interested in nature.
