My mum is in a care home and she was really struggling with pain and more than normal confusion. I requested the care home test her for a uti as from previous experience this was the cause. I was told the care home manager would not buy the testing kits for bed bound patients as they're too expensive. Thank goodness we were able to order these with ease and they were delivered by 10am the following day. The care home used them and found she had a severe infection. I'm just grateful we were able to get these to prevent another trip to hospital when things got out of hand for her. The care home contacted urgent care and got her the antibiotics which I collected and she is now hopefully going to be on the mend. Very grateful.
