Great product
These are well built. Notifications on the phone are a little slow but I think that could be the speed of my internet. Easy to use interface and install is all dependent on the setup of your home. A couple of down falls are the conecters are alittle loose at the camera side of the cable so I had to tape them with electrical tape to get a good connection. Another thing and once again could be my internet I have bit when watching live from remote the picture is fuzzy but when I watch the replay it is crystal clear. Once again could be my internet speeds. I would defenatly buy this system again and will be buying 4 more cameras to go with the system once I get the funds to do so..

Clear on picture and straightforward on install
We have used a 1080 Lorex 8 cam at our home for 7 years. The system works really well. Recently our family member purchased a condo and surveillance system could be a better add-on. Due to the good experience on Lorex, we bought this 4 cam system and I did the installation. I put just 3 cameras there for main gate and patio door. Wiring took a while but I always trust wired camera (don't be afraid to drill holes on wall as long as there is no pipe, wire, cable there).Lorex has updated their app on Android and setup is very simple with just few steps.Although this is a 4K I do think it would reach to limitation on BNC soon. Next time I would plan on POE IP.During the 7 years experience I got and solved couple issues. Here is my suggest,1. fan bearing broken: CPU then will be very loud. To solve it, replace it with a computer video card's fan.2. no picture on 1 camera: this is typical loose on connection. Go check connection both outdoor and indoor3. no picture on all cameras: mostly it's power adapter (connecting to camera, not to CPU) broken. Go buy a larger 12V, 4 or 5A adapter. Smaller one won't work except Lorex's OEM.4. picture is showing but with lines or blurry: this could be camera is having dirt. You just clean it up. If not, you're probably using 3rd party wire or camera's power adapter is dying. If your camera is far away from CPU and you need a BNC extension, ensure you buy a higher grade (20 AWG) or just Lorex OEM cable. Cheap extension will result in money waste.5. heat issue: put your CPU indoor, not at garage.

So far happy
Like the picture quality, night vision is much better than previous systems, still learning how to use but it’s a lot more user friendly than previous systems. Cameras are wider view than previous 4K. Motion detection is very sensitive, picks up the neighbors car a couple hundred feet away but at least I should be able to adjust that.

Works as advertised
I ordered this for my mother. I have a Lorex system which I’ve ordered from Lorex and this system works great with a very clear picture. We purchased an additional camera for it and additional 100 foot 4K wire and it worked well.

Buggy, no tech support, just call center lists
15 months experience.Dvr was ok....not great timestamp or search. The app is buggy and never got a single notification from cameras or hub/sensors.The cameras motion sensors are hidios....on lowest setting a moth sets them off at night, yet a person has to be right ontop of camera, setting up the range and grid is complicated especially if you have any trees that might move in a breeze. The worst is having to deal with so called tech support, dvr at 15 months of use hung on load screen and just keeps rebooting, i had already done all the resets even on the computer board itself and told her everything and still did all again to confirm. They tried the its out of warranty......funny my papers say 2 yr.....oh no Sir we have 1yr . BS started going south when they didn't accept a copy paste of the invoice, wanted a screenshot, and im tech savvy but could not do one on Amazon app.....so sent a picture of it on my TV .Then while waiting for authorization i was asked for the make and model number of my monitor.....wth has that got to do with a hung up loading screen? All the runaround and hassle plus the initial bugs I don't even care that they won't stand by their warranty.Onto better equipment. Lorex used to be a decent product but not anymore. My 2 cents

Go for the 4k and you won't regret it.
Very easy to set up. I had old camera system and wanted something digital that would give me real time alerts. I unscrewed the older cameras and installed the 4k Lorex cameras in 15 mins. As for the network, I plugged the network cable into Netgear wifi extender's ethernet port and boom, no messy or long ethernet cable to worry about. Now my system is digital and I get real time alerts on my phone. Also, the camera quality is a really good. I was able to zoom in without any issues.

Not color night vision
The only way you will get color night vision is if you have enough light to fool the cameras into it being daytime. I picked up a Jooan system earlier for our community hall that has CNV cameras. I put one of the cameras in the storeroom with the light off and got CVN. You can walk 150 feet out into the field with a flashlight and see the green grass. The IR picture is very good. Also, you are forced to use a password. I don't need one, I'm not connected to the internet and it is just my wife and me. Every time, I want to look or change something I have to enter the number, symbol and letter password, quite annoying.
