Great resource for anyone educating others on the topic of networking
I used this resource extensively in my role as education coordinator in my networking group. My group members were easily able to apply the suggestions outlined, and it was super simple for me to show up prepared and looking like an expert in my role, all because I had this book! Many of us thought we were stellar networkers, until we "scored" ourselves by using the networking checklist the authors share. Our scores helped us all understand the need to become more dedicated to cultivating our networking skills.

Great for anyone in sales!
Great suggestions for any new salesperson. My real estate broker recommended this book to all new agents, but can be used for any sales profession. Some suggestions are common sense, but also several ideas many probably hadn’t thought of.

Step-by-step advice
This book is written by the founder of BNI--the largest referral marketing organization in the world. I think he is a brilliant thinker and this book did not disappoint me. He guided the reader throughout 52 short chapters with exercises that outline how to increase business success being authentically yourself. I recommend it to clients all the time.

Very informative.. .
I have always dreaded networking and I can honestly say I dreaded it because I did not know what I was doing. This book lays out a simple plan to follow to become a master networker and helps the reader look at networking in a different way for success.

ehh....too basic, too boring and too bad that I bought this book.
To be fair I haven't finished the book yet but I've found it to generally be just blah. It's ok but I wouldn't recommend it. The author takes the basics of networking and make you believe that they are his novel ideas (i.e. net-WORKING takes work...it's not net-SITTING or net-EATING, etc). The title and premise behind the book's title are also weak...you can become part of the 29% that is separated by just six degrees. Also, the chapter layout and organization doesn't necessarily flow well. To sum it up...there are many better books out there about networking and I'd pass on this book. If you do pick up a copy look at the chapter topics and go through those chapters that interest you...don't start at the beginning and work your way through because it's just not necessary. Again, I'm not finished with the book and if my opinion changes I'll be back to change/revise my review here.
