A few years ago my wife wanted a hammock and stand, and constantly talked about reading in the hammock and relaxing on nice days. So for christmas i began researching hammocks and stands. being someone that likes the asthetics of something that Stands out and is visually appealing , I could not bring myself to buying a metal stand for the hammock they are so plain and and unappealing to me, I Wandered across the Outsunny Cypress Wooden Arc Double wide Patio Hammock Swing and Stand and fell in love the look was amazing and really stood out, upon a quick delivery in time for christmas my wife opened it and loved, after three months and the melted snow was gone the Hamock was assemled very easily I love the stand and the smell of the Cypress and wwhen the weather warmed up the wasps for some reason loved the smell as well after two seasons i am replacing the Hammock itself as i have left it up for two seasons and it has naturally aged which is fine i actually wanted a padded hammock anyway as the knots and tweed of the hammock were uncomfortable either way. as far as the stand i would deffinitly by another one it has held up great. like any other out door wood product after two seasons in the weather I have power washed it and restained and sealed it and it has held up so well. i get so many comments on how unique it is I love it.

At first it was a nice color and beautiful wood but over time it just went to trash. The fabric faded and mildewed, the wood split and splintered and mildewed as well. We did the upkeep but it just didn’t last. These pics are less than one year of owning the product.

This hammock stand is significantly heavier than the 10' hammock stand we are replacing, which means moving it around the yard is now a two person job.Other reviews have mentioned missing parts, incomplete holes, and poor assembly instructions.This hammock stand came with all the hardware and the holes were all drilled.As far assembly goes, keep a picture of the finished product handy and the illustrated step-by-step instructions, and another person, during assembly and you should be good.The stand is made of a large number of very thin slats laminated together which have then been coated with a stained sealant. There were fair number of cracks and openings into which water could penetrate and delaminate the stand.I sanded it down, and gave it couple of coats oil based varnish to seal it up. Sanding it down removed some of the stain, which you may want to fix by sanding it all the way down, and stain it before applying the varnish. It took me one sunny day to sand and varnish at a cost of $15 for varnish (1/2 pint), brush and sandpaper (80, 150, and 220 grit).It would be nice if these wood hammock stands could come better finished, but this seems to be a problem with them regardless of how expensive they are, including ones costing over $500.

I’ve had this hammock for a little less than 2 years. It has been set up on concrete until recently due to its poor condition. Would not recommend for long term use.

If you are looking for an elevated bed then this is probably fine.If you want a hammock cause you love swinging in hammocks then don’t buy this. It has little hooks to keep the hammock stable and so you don’t move. If you remove them so you can swing, then be prepared to watch the base bend under the pressure and feel very unsafe. You CANNOT SWING in this hammock. So don’t even try. I feel like the hammock is gonna break. It doesn’t feel as sturdy as it cost. It’s absolutely beautiful to look at. Probably the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, but feeling uneasy laying in it just makes the cost that much worse as it isn’t relaxing to lay in as I feel like it’s gonna break underneath me. As well as there is no way you can A. Fit two people on this hammock provided and B. Could never carry the weight of two grown adults. This fact in itself is very disappointing because I loved laying in my old hammock with my children and my husband. So this very expensive beautiful hammock has just ruined everything I loved about my old hammock.Only buy this hammock if you are gonna sit still in the sun and you want something pleasing to look at.

We received our hammock yesterday and my husband set it up all by himself (he said it was a little bit of a pain to set it up alone) but it looks BEAUTIFUL in the backyard. The hammock stand is big and the color stands out nicely. Very comfortable and relaxing. Can't wait to invite friends over to see it. It really adds a nice element to the backyard. Very happy with this AFFORDABLE purchase.
