Searched and searched to finally find this perfect house for my doves. It's very well made and big enough for my needs. I use it in their cage. Make sure it will fit through your cage door if you plan to use it this way.

The craftsperson who creating this nesting box had beauty, function & attention to detail in mind. It feels sturdy in the hand & I know it will stand the test of time for our resident doves. The mounting holes are centered in the back panel. If you intend to hang it on the facia/trim boards of a brick house, the holes are too low so higher holes must be drilled or a simple piece of 1x4 or 1x6 wood as a simple connector solves this hiccup.It is a bit pricey to put several around a farm or ranch. But it is a beautiful addition to any suburban residential property where you only want one or two.I look forward to seeing the beautiful nesting box in use in no time.

I love it; but so far my barn swallows are just roosting on top. I guess they aren’t use to houses provided for them. I hope they move inside it before laying eggs or the eggs will roll of the slanted roof. :/

For the price, this is a very nice nesting box. It's a really good size, so I'm hoping the mourning doves will nest in it. The only problem I have is that mine came broken and coming apart. The box was in good shame, so it must have been broken to start with. However, with a staple gun and a hammer, I was able to "fix" it. I will probably put in a few screws just for good measure as it is assembled with nails. If I can get anything to nest in it, I will probably buy at least one more.
