Big SkinnyMen's Tri-Fold Leather Slim Wallet, Holds Up to 25 Cards

I've had my wallet since 2020. I love it because it is a small profile yet holds all my stuff. Many of the wallets today are big and bulky but this one is all around compact yet tightly holds my 10 cards plus some miscellaneous IDs and cash. I have used it daily and there are no signs of wear; the material is still soft with no cracking or blemishes. I am going to buy a backup for the future just incase I lose this one and can't find Big Skinnys available anymore.

I have only been disappointed by wallets. I need to carry a number of credit / identification / license / transit / entitlement cards. My wallets used to make it look like I had a pocket tumor. I finally got a fabric travel wallet hoping it would relieve the bulk, which it did before soon falling apart. I even looked at a Tyvek wallet but didn't trust the glued joints. Out of desperation I gave Big Skinny a try. My tri-fold leather wallet looked a bit diminutive when it arrived but I had no problem packing it with 15 plastic cards (all credit card size and thickness), a state driver's license, several thinner paper cards, and currency. I am posting my review a year after making my purchase and first putting this wallet to daily use so I expect your experience will be like mine. My wallet now looks like it's a few weeks old. Though I need to carry a number of cards, some are for emergency while I use others daily. I admit I have to pull out a clump of cards to find an infrequently used one, or I have to withdraw a card in the front of a pocket to get to a card in the middle of that cluster. I do not find this inconvenient - especially in trade for the ease I have in comfortably keeping this wallet with me all the time. I did write to Big Skinny at the beginning. I wanted to know if they had a similar wallet with a partition in the currency section so I could more easily keep receipts. I never got a reply. Now I think I'd prefer a separate svelte bi-fold wallet with shape for receipts so I don't have crunch them down to fit. On the plus side, the width of typical POS register receipts are as wide as the center of the three sections of this wallet. After being folded to a stunted height I am successful at keeping register receipts by turning them relative to currency. I don't know if any other company makes wallets like those from Big Skinny and I'm not looking elsewhere. I have nothing else to do now but enjoy my wallet. If the day comes that I need another wallet, whether as a replacement or to have a different color choice, I will again look to Big Skinny. By the way, I didn't appreciate the embossed logo on the outside of the wallet, I would rather it be placed inside. I use the logo now to help remind me which of the two outer sections to fold in first before tucking my wallet away. None of my negative remarks affect the rating I've given. I just don't know of any wallet that comes close. I'm eagerly waiting for Big Skinny to come up with a wallet for my smartphone that makes it smaller when tucked away, too.

I wanted something similar to my Buxton Tri-Fold Wallet I have had for 10+ years. This Big and Skinny Leather not only matches it, but it exceeded it. I like that your cards don't fit super tight like they did in my Buxton. It sits good and narrow, just a bit high on one end, but that will wear down to fit with time, My Buxton did the same thing. How well they last only time will tell so for now they get a 4 stars, as I really don't think these newer Wallets will ever last 10 years. Same company offers a skinner tri-fold made out of material instead of leather. still was too thick, returned and got their Navy Big Skinny Material version instead, much nicer.

I replaced a RFID blocking bifold wallet with this one because my cards kept cracking from the thickness. I have to say that this is was a great choice.The leather is very fine grained and smells great. I have seen complaints about the card slots being too baggy, but as long as you have at least 4 cards on each side you wont have much of a problem.The clear plastic on the ID card slot is a bit sticky and prevents me from easily using the thumb window to slide my card out when I need it, but I haven't found a wallet that doesn't have that problem to date.I tend to avoid tri-fold wallets because of the thickness they tend to add with the extra fold, but this wallet is so thin in the first place I had absolutely no problem with that aspect.The seams are stitched and glued and have no visible frays or unevenness. I just got this wallet a few days ago, but I don't think it will fail me for years to come.UPDATE 14 MAY 2013:Over 9 months later and this wallet is still as great as when I purchased it back in August. This is well worth the money, and is the best wallet I have ever owned.The stitching is intact, the pockets haven't stretched, and other than mild blemishes from normal use, you couldn't guess I have owned this wallet for more than a few months.UPDATE 7 May 2015:This wallet is one tough cookie! There are a few points of noticeable wear but it hasn't torn or gotten sloppy at all. Best wallet I have ever purchased.

This is a great wallet I love the leather and durability. This is my second one it reduce the size of my wallet in half compare to a regular wallet no more bulky back pocket. I definitely would recommend

This is my second Big Skinny wallet. The first one lasted for about 8 years, and still looked great from the outside, but the inside was starting to wear a bit. Figured it was time to replace it when the black became available on Amazon again (could only get brown for the longest time).The wallet really does swallow a lot of cards and doesn't get nearly as fat as most others - when I transferred to my first one, the loaded Big Skinny was slimmer than the empty previous leather wallet. As mentioned above, it wears really well. My only complaint is that I think my cards actually "wear out" (generally crack) quicker because the wallet doesn't cushion them quite as well. Of course that could be the credit card material as well as some older cards in the wallet still seem fine.Highly recommended.

The leather felt fake and their claim of 25 card storage is a joke. I only had 13 cards put into this and this thing wont not close

Ormai lo uso da più di un mese. Ok non ci sta la carta di identità cartacea, ma per tutto il resto è perfetto. È talmente piccolo e sottile rispetto al portafogli che avevo prima che a volte dimentico di averlo nella tasca. Davvero consigliato.
