A Photographer's Dream Come True
I upgraded from the iPad Pro 11 2020 with 128gb to the 12.9 iPad pro 2020 with 500gb and what a difference in screen size. There is no performance difference between the two. All the specs are the same. The battery life don't last as long as the 11 inch. But it still last about 10 hours of use.I am a photographer and I use my iPad pro for mostly photo editing using adobe lightroom. And I tried every tablet out there with the highest performance and specs and none of them handle the large raw camera files like the iPad pro does. The other tablets would lag and sit there and buffer. I was blown away when I tried editing 200mb files from the Fuji gfx 100. Thats insane how Apple can do that better than my pc. I started with the iPad pro 10.5 and the only reason I upgraded to the iPad pro 11 was the 11 was more compatible with portable ssd drives. This 12.9 iPad pro let's you see more of the photos while editing. I needed more storage due to I upgraded to the Sony a7r4 and it has 128mb raw camera files and it handles these files without any hesitation which blows my mind. I have a very high spec $2500 gaming pc with an I9 and rtx 2070 and somehow the new iPad pro can edit the photos just as smoothly as my pc.The colors the screen produces are truly beautiful and I use my tablet to show my clients their photos. It's nice to backup all my files to the iPad pro after every photo shoot and when I get home it automatically uploads my files to the cloud and I have my files backed up incase of a card failure.I don't own any other Apple products except this iPad pro and if they can handle all my photo editing needs compared to higher end tablets. You got my my Apple. It's made my business go so much smoother since I picked up my first one.

It's what you'd expect for $1000! **be warned about a new type of connector. AGAIN.**
I purchased this as an upgrade from the iPad pro 1st gen (2017). I had been using my old one mainly for portable tv/stream viewing, and some digital design. It was working fine, even after three years. I was super surprised upon receiving this new iPad that it is lighter, slimmer, and sleeker. Of course, the camera is better, although I don't take a lot of photos with it. It runs iOS 13.4 seamlessly, and is able to handle the two programs I use the most, procreate and goodnotes, effectively. I love that it's not such a huge beast (even though the screen size is the same) and that the third party case options are also sleeker and lighter. The main reason I upgraded was to be able to use the Apple Pencil 2. It's got a much better design, and charges simply by snapping onto the magnet on the side of the iPad. The pencil is also weighted differently than the first one, and doesn't have that weird one-sidedness or heaviness in the hand. I can work in my apps for a longer period of time due to the 4th gen supporting the 2nd gen pencil. The only cons - there is a new connector. There is no lightning port. The charger is now a USB C, and if you're using a PC to back up your iPad (which I am), it needs to be new enough that it has a USB C port on it (thankfully, I just got a new HP not too long ago, so it DOES have one). Otherwise, you'll need to buy an adapter. And you can't use your old chargers with it. I would also recommend getting a compatible 30w charger for faster charging. It comes with an 18w.

Perfect Drawing Tablet!
If you are an artist, buy this tablet! I’ve been wanting to upgrade my art tablet for quite some time, after using and purchasing the Microsoft Surface Pro three different times over five years, it just wasn’t cutting it for me. After looking around, the price tags attached to most art tablets were a bit too steep for me. Then I found this tablet and purchased after reading the reviews and viewing videos on YouTube. Once it arrived I was extra nervous because it felt so different from my Microsoft Surface Pro, but after a bit of usage I realized that the difference was for the better! This thing is a beast! Where my Surface would loose it’s charge, not charge at all, get laggy, or just stop working with it’s touch function altogether, this thing after an entire YEAR AND A HALF of use, just keeps going and going and going, like I haven’t crammed it full of artwork and programs. It’s simply the best for the price! Even better, the program I was comfortable using (Clip Studio Paint) was absolutely a breeze to use on this! I’ve attached some of the art I’ve completed with this tablet so you can see some of the quality it can produce, artists of all levels would definitely benefit from this purchase!

All Pro, no Cons
This was a big purchase decision for me; I was on the fence between getting an iPad Pro or a MacBook as my everyday device. I decided that an iPad would be the smarter choice. The big screen size is a joy to behold, whether I'm browsing the internet (mostly Reddit), reading books, or getting to some mobile gaming. The weight of the device is not bad, though I'd always love things to be lighter and lighter - still, the quality of the screen and longevity of the battery remain higher priorities. Still, it's very manageable to me. In terms of speed/power I am extremely happy. Everything is speedy and responsive, and game graphics are remarkable. The battery is a beast, at least from my own personal usage. I like that it has USB-C instead of lightning, as more and more of my devices and cables are the same. The iPad software itself is likely something you know all about, so I'll just say there is a good reason I continue to stick primarily with Apple (compatibility, reliability, security, ease of use, etc). This is a great device, a premium product, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an Apple tablet with a larger screen, faster processing, better cameras, battery, so on and so on.
