its good item just not the right hardware to wire it properly, kinda weird the stuff they give you. The toggle/power switch is cheap and can fall forward out of it easily, I superglued it in. noticed it when wiring it... it kept falling out the front, just dosen't snap in like you think it would. But i made it work , nice to have 12V cig outlet and USB ports in my boat now. and to see Voltage is very nice tells you RE: 12.8 VDC of battery,helpful only time will tell now.

First one I received was defective. Easily replaced by Amazon. Second one I received is super! Does just what I was looking for. Not too difficult to install on my Kubota SxS.

This is a very handy item to install and use as a modification to any existing vehicle or vessel. I used it to set up power to my Toyota FJ Cruiser cargo area because I intend to have a 12v fridge back there. The hardest part of the install was running the wires in the car. The unit comes prewired and with useful instructions should you desire to change the position of the sockets (which I did). I only gave it 4 stars because the voltmeter is really cheesy (IMO), I replaced that with a better quality voltmeter that doubles up as a QC 3.0 USB charger-highlighted on the uploaded picture (in addition to the USB 2.0 sockets it comes with). I also included a picture of the original VM. What I really like is that it is switchable (I wired it so that it only has power when the car key is switched on anyway) but it gives me an extra backup to cut power off and avoid parasite battery drain (from the voltmeter light and the USB chargers illumination lights, I know it's minimal but the slow trickle ends up discharging the battery if left on too long) All in all it is perfect for my mod and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a decent quality and affordable item like this. I am looking forward to camping and taking my 12v fridge with me without having to run the power cable all the way to the cabin cig socket or using my portable solar generator to power the fridge. Always remember to protect these electrical add ons with either an online fuse holder or connecting to the fuse holder box with the appropriate amperage rated fuse.

Unit is exactly what I needed which was to have a switch for the diesel heater thermostat for when we are running our rv on solar. The front facing usb and 12v lighter style plug offer extra usability and the battery display is sharp looking and accurate. Overall I didn’t pay much more for this unit than I would have for just an outdated metal toggle switch here locally. The leads for everything are fused however the included loops aren’t big enough for the studs on my deep cycle battery. Not really a flaw but something you may want to be aware of and prepared to upgrade if it’s necessary for your application.

Bought this for an upgrade to my Ford Maverick. Using the flex bed system to power this, I now have 12volt power along with a USB charging port. Digital display shows voltage which is not necessarily functional, but the light is welcome when its dark and your trying to find the power port which is a standard power connection for cigarette lighter power devices.

I bought a larger one of these previously, and I installed it without issue, but the smaller unit has very small clearances. Therefore, you have to disassemble the pieces in order to draw where you need to cut it. In order to install it, you have to cut whatever cabinet you’re installing it in. It would be much easier if they would provide a template so that you don’t have to take the unit apart in order to install it. In addition, you kinda have to guess where to cut and in my case there seem to be less than an eighth of an inch of leeway. I don’t think I would buy the small product again. That said, it is well made and looks very nice.

Bought 2 panels, quality of material is poor, wires are cheap and terimals were crimped incorrectly.
