Very nice and heavy cleaver
One of the best cleaver i have. I used many before they were ligt and did nt cut the bones easily but this one is heavy and one stike can cut the bone of lamb legs easily.

I'm moving over to these
This is my 3rd Rockingham Forge knife that I've bought. I was impressed with my first two (cheese knives) enough to decide on this cleaver.I had to replace my kitchen knives due to a move but as I very rarely use a cleaver and in fact I could have managed without one, I didn't want to spend a lot of money and debated if I should even bother. But I have this problem where I don't believe in buying cheap and buying twice so I was in a dilemma. I wanted to get this in the 6" version but it was out of stock, so being the impulsive 'I want it now' kind of person, I couldn't wait and went on to order the 8". It's big, bigger than I really need but it's well crafted and looks awesome in my knife drawer. The blade has a more carbon steel appearance to it which I really like. It gives it that butcher look and I find this steel sharpens up better. It's a good value knife, as are my others. I now have two brands: Rockingham Forge and another brand at twice the price. To be honest, I'm more than happy with the Rockingham so far so I may save a few pounds and gradually move over to them. I never put my prized knives in the dishwasher, always wash and dry by hand. This will prolong the beautiful finish.
