Makes Amazing Poached Eggs...A Real Value!
In all fairness, I read the negative reviews of this product, and will address the issues raised one at a time. The negative/mediocre reviews for theEndurance Nonstick Stainless Steel 4 Egg Poacher were all written between 2011 and 2013. The company must have taken the negative feedback into consideration, because now, in 2016, this egg poacher is a terrific product. I took the pan out of the box, and read the instructions THOROUGHLY before cooking any eggs. First, Endurance recommends that you wash the entire product thoroughly with soap and water. Second, I placed a tiny bit of olive oil in the egg cups. The instructions say do NOT use Pam, or other non-stick cooking sprays, such sprays will degrade the non-stick coating on the cups. Third, users are directed to handle the hot pan, and other items WITH either an oven mitt, or with a folded dishcloth. The handle gets extremely hot during cooking. Some negative reviews indicated that the little cup handles are too difficult to grasp, with or without an oven glove. That design flaw was obviously corrected. After four minutes of cooking, I easily grabbed the cup handles, turned them upside down over english muffins, and voila...I had four PERFECTLY cooked poached eggs...they were even runny inside the way they're supposed to be! As soon as the pan cooled down, I easily washed and dried the entire unit. NO eggs got stuck to the inside of the cups, and no non-stick flakes whatsoever came out of the cups either. People who bought earlier models of the Endurance Nonstick Stainless Steel 4 Egg Poacher may have had the problems indicated in some of the negative reviews, but I can honestly say that Endurance corrected the flaws of this egg poacher. It does an amazing job poaching perfect eggs quickly, the whole product is easy to clean, and, for the money paid, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Just not worth it...
Very disappointed in this item, primarily because the non-stick coating was ineffective. In general, it would do an okay job of poaching the eggs, though the small cup size did occasionally lead to eggs that were cooked on the bottom, with a small layer of uncooked white on the top. The major downfall was that every time I poached an egg,the cup would be coated with cooked egg-white. I tried this with & without oiling the cups, and the result was a tedious cleaning job scraping out egg-bits from the four individual cups. After a month or two of this, I noted the 'non-stick' surface was flaking off, so I chucked it. Overall, the pan has a cheap feel to it--not a huge surprise at the price. That said, I wouldn't use this if it were free due to the time wasted cleaning the thing after poaching a couple of eggs!

The pan and lid handle remain cool enough to use without a potholder
This is a well made pan that functions extremely well. The pan and lid handle remain cool enough to use without a potholder. The cups are deep enough to accommodate extra-large eggs, which slip easily from their non-stick surface if you use a quick shot of Pam or swipe of olive oil before cooking. The pan is also compatible with induction cook tops. In short, it does everything it's supposed to do, and well. I'd bought a $80 egg poaching pan with a fancy name brand but returned it as junk...lighter gauge steel, shallower cups, an egg tray and cover machined so poorly they wouldn't nest solidly against the pan rim. The Endurance pan is all you'd ever want or need in my opinion, and a solid value for the price.

Works great!, cups are a bit smaller than I expected.
I like the sturdiness of the pan and the non-stick cups. I also like the glass see-through lid so you can see how the cooking is going. It cooks perfect poached eggs you just need to watch the time you cook them to get them cooked the soft/hard way you like them. It cleans up very nicely. I used veg oil in the cups before putting the egg into them, just to make sure I don't have to scrub the non-stick surface if it happens to stick. I only put an inch of water in the bottom and it was plenty to cook them med-done. I would definitely recommend this pan. Is a bit pricey but I think worth it. It doesn't make a McDonald's size egg for an egg muffin, the eggs are just a tad smaller than english muffin size.

Partly Okay, Partly Not Okay
I like the sturdiness of the pan, but the non-stick cups for the eggs are not non-stick. Each cup had egg whites stuck inside the cup. I followed the directions on what and what not to do, too.

Too many parts
The poacher has a few flaws1. Not easy to pick up the pods when hot even when you have a hot glove? They are so close together you have to have some pretty tiny hands to get the pods out when hot.2. Other poachers have one less piece which makes it easier to clean. This poacher has a stainless steel ring around the pod which does not always stay in placeGood points1. Eggs cook evenly.2. Not too much sticking when the egg is cooked. This product does it's job, but not impressed with the quality given the price.

I really like this pan
I really like this pan. I must admit that it was a little smaller than I had expected, but since I didn't look at the exact measurements, that was my fault. The eggs were great and it is a real nice heavy pan with a very nice lid. I have always been a fan of poached eggs over fried and they are better for people who are diabetic. I don't like using hydrogenated oils and that was the only thing that tasted right to me when frying them. This way you don't have to use the unhealthy oils. You could use a tiny drop of healthy oil or real butter and the non-stick surface was great. All I did was pick up the little cups and turn them over and they just fell out, no scraping or sticking whatsoever. I hope I have answered any questions that a buyer might have, but I would be happy to answer any other questions, if you have them. Thank you.
