Do not buy this product if you live in a very cold region during the winter months!!!! It worked for us for two weeks in December. Water got hot but takes awhile to heat up (about 2 minutes). Once it's hot it's hard to regulate the temp from scolding to freezing even if you set the temp to what you like. However, that is not the worst of our problems. It worked for two weeks we used it then....a major freeze occurred!! I know the product description says it has freeze protection. It absolutely does not! If you have to do all the of the leg work yourself to make sure it doesn't freeze, that is not freeze protection! We had a major freeze in VA two days before Christmas and no problems occurred with the heater until everything started to defrost a few days later. We were out of town and ended up with a flood in our home while we were gone and all due to the water heater exploding! We opened it up to see inside and sure enough two pipes had holes in them! We also noticed how cheap looking the inside components of the heater were! The pipes look aluminum and not copper. This is probably why it burst because this is obviously a cheap product! Be careful about buying this! Also, the seller was not cooperative about the warranty and blamed us for the problem!! Totally annoying!!!

We bought this for our off-grid house. It works great for our purposes but there are a few things to know about it.First, it does not have intelligent temperature control. Depending on your flow rate, the temperature will vary. Our bathroom sink is low-flow compared to our bathtub, so the same temperature setting on the heater produces hotter water in the sink than the tub because the water moves more slowly through the heat exchanger with lower flow.Next, despite the manual appearing to be very extensive, nowhere is there a clear description of what the controls do. For example, there is a lever on the bottom with "max" and "min" marked on either end, but I couldn't find anywhere in the manual that even mentioned it. It turns out with experimentation, it's the water intake flow valve.Also the knob labeled "power" is never explained. After experimentation it appears to be a coarse temperature setting, with "eco" being lower temperature range, perhaps for lower flow situations."We've only been using it for a few days but in general the basic functions appear to work great. The venting works great and it appears to light up and heat water reliably and quickly.

I searched and searched for a permanent mount propane water heater. That's because I don't want electric and it has a 120 volt cord with 2 amp current requirement. It may have been documented I haven't even checked. Just be aware. The other one I purchased and returned was because it said do not permanent mount. It did however have 2 d size batteries for a ignighter.

Soon after installing the display quit working, and now it won’t heat at all. It starts up but quits after a few seconds.

This is a terrible product. Where do I start. First, it is very hard to adjust the temperature and power settings. Secondly, it will not stay at the temperature that you said it at. You will constantly have to adjust it. I have had two of these as the first one broke after about 3 weeks. I kept getting error code E0 and the only way to fix it was to send it back. The replacement they sent stopped working after just one week. Water is running, but the igniter is not lighting on the unit and the water is not getting hot. I am getting ready to return this one and I have purchased a more expensive unit for my food truck. The worst part is my technician is charging me every time I have to install and uninstall this water heater. Save your money and get a better product than camplux!

Temperature control is tricky. There's a good chance of getting your water extremely hot if you don't have it set right. Have it set for a faucet to be all the way open, and never open a hot water faucet only part way. Limited flow will cause the temperature to spike dramatically.My biggest concern is that there is no freeze protection at all. When outside temperature drops below freezing, it travels straight back through the vent and into the combustion chamber. The water coil can and does freeze very quickly. This causes it to split. As soon as it warms up enough to thaw, it will spray water everywhere. What's more, is the unit doesn't care where the water is going, just that it's flowing in the supply line. So it kicks on the burner. Now you have both a major water leak, and a unit that is trying to heat it. If you're lucky, you'll be home when it happens. Otherwise you're in for some major water damage at the very least.Freeze protection needs to be addressed in these units. It's not a small problem.

Heater is great , hot water in just a few secs, easy to install, and Excellent customer service!

Works great until it gets cold outside. Advertised as interior installation with freeze protection but I assure you it does not! Display was showing water temp inside unit was 80 degrees but it froze from cold air entering the exhaust. No commercially available backflow preventer due to small exhaust pipe size. No where on their site do the say this or in instructions that this unit is for plus temperatures only. The plumber that installed it assumed it had freeze protection well we were both wrong. Do not buy this product it's only for warm climate .update sent all info to company they won't respond all they say is read the manual. I sent pictures of where the unit froze and burst and they ignored all my email's! Don't buy this ever! Total junk! I'd give it 0 stars if I could

The only issue I have with this water heater, and it's really annoying that would lead me to purchase digital...is that you cant accurately set the temperate, even if you run the water and get it set to 120 degrees and it will seem solid. The next time you run it, it will just be completely random and go up to like 150 degrees randomly.. or be down at 70 at which point you gotta fiddle with the dial.It could be of coarse that I am the idiot and im doing something wrong, im always open to that.

Can’t get this to go over 105 degrees. Bought for food truck, can’t use due to health regulations.

This water heater is great for RV trailer work with propane , I had some minor issue with the unit they have a support line and email very quick troubleshooting the problem I recommend this water heater because of it fast response for hot water and for the support team fixing my problem good troubleshooting team
