bought these to hold up a window and they worked. Still working. Easy to install and fit well.

Works OK for what I needed it for!

Got these for the lid on my tool box. My lid is very heavy, and these hold it up (which honestly surprised me, as they are very easy to compress with my hands) and feel nice and smooth pushing down and opening up. I am hesitant about how long they will last because the plastic parts just seem so brittle.

These were purchased to replace a failed gas strut on a theater recliner arm cubby lid. They snapped perfectly into place on the original ball brackets. They work great and lift the arm lid after a slight lift and close completely with no issues. Would definitely purchase again if needed and recommend them to others. Just check that the dimensions match.

I ordered 2 sets of these. One set was for a 42" aluminum toolbox lid, which is very lightweight. Opened the first set and went to put it on the existing ball and the top that holds the metal clasp cracked in half. Also, the metal clasp itself only had one hard bend. Maybe this is a factory defect, maybe not. Found a metal clasp that came off of an old shock to make it work. Got both new shocks on and they have trouble opening the lid. They're super weak. Not even sure if I am going to try to use the other set. I will keep them though because they did come with the ball hardware. I'll try to use those just to see if they are of better quality than the actual shocks themselves. Be weary of this product.

I used a set of these for a hidden door that opens upward. They allow for easy, self opening and hold the door up till I push it closed.

These were great quality for the price. Easy to install .

Achèter pour remplacer ceux sur un appareil , mais après réflexion décider de ne pas installer car trop différent sur les attaches et cela était un gros problème. Je pourrais m’en servir sur autre chose plus tard.
