DonJoy Aircast Cryo/Cuff Cold Therapy: Hand/Wrist Cryo/Cuff, One Size Fits Most

Recently broke my wrist and had a cast on for 5 weeks. When the cast came off the pain level was more than desired. Having used the power version of the AirCast Cryo Cooler for my shoulder, and my daughter used for knee, I decided to order the wrist cuff. Absolutely fantastic relief of pain. I wear a long sleeve shirt and a thin isotoner glove, put the cuff over that, and take 20 minutes of cold. Rest and repeat as necessary. Having the long sleeve shirt plus glove is about perfect level of cold. I never put directly on skin - even after 24 hours without adding new ice The swelling is helped by both cold and compression. One full jug of ice water lasts a day (4-6 uses). This cuff also comes with bendable metal supports - I removed them, but very versatile depending upon your needs. My other cuffs are all still good, the AirCast pump still works fine. Great system, reasonably affordable, great quality.

I fractured my wrists twice in one year. Both bones both times. Neither was a surgical case but both incidents were very painful. I ordered the wrist attachment the second time I fractured it and wow I wish I got it sooner. It covers my fingers so they get iced too which is great for the swelling. Definitely a good way to keep your injury iced!

I returned it because I didn't need it. But I have used the knee version and it's a fantastic product which greatly reduce post op swelling. Would buy again without hesitation

Used the shoulder pad for shoulder surgery with great success; getting prepared for hand surgery. Once filled with water its pretty heavy and bulky so I think it will best suit me laid open as shown in my pics and I can maneuver my hand as needed for cryotherapy. It definitely beats going back and forth to freezer for ice packs.

I’m very big on reviews when it comes to making a purchase. I’m so glad I overlooked the reviews for this item. My unit was very easy to use and a blessing at the same time. My cooler is very light and functions without plugging into wall, so no noise issues or leaks. Since I had surgery on my right thumb the holes were very spacious to use but due to me having surgery I found it more comfortable to keep my hand in the inside of the air cast at least until I go to therapy.

I have used the shoulder version of the cryocuff for rotator cuff surgery and it was brilliant, allowed me to reduce my pain meds very quickly.. Unfortunately the arm version inflates way too much, the best you can do is rest your arm on it Which is better than nothing but it really needs a rethink.
