Simon & Schuster Mega Crossword Puzzle Book #20

I’ve bought these books for years because the puzzles are challenging but do-able and it will take you a while to finish this book. Puzzles and clues are a decent size to read, and the puzzles get longer as you move through the book. I just have to be sure I remember which ones I’ve completed!

Crossword puzzles are proven to improve brain function, memory, and knowledge. It's like a Jeopardy round on paper with subjects like: geography, literature, history, science, sports, movies, tv, food, politics, pop culture, etc. There's also the satisfaction of finishing one (answers are in the back just in case!) Each book has 300 puzzles, keeping you busy every day for nearly a year. I've ordered 22 of them over the years. True story.

These puzzle books are one of my favorite pastimes. The difficulty level is just right for me. They are printed on good quality paper, so they are easy to write on. The pages are not like newspaper. I don't like books with that kind of paper. These are the same as a good-quality printer paper, probably 24# or better. Ink doesn't bleed through the pages, and pens/pencils don't tear or emboss the paper.

I'm at the age where I am well aware of the answers, but someone younger wouldn't know what the references are. There's a smattering of references to other countries, not just the States. I don't care for the dubious sentence-long answers. It holds up completing the puzzles and mostly I look those answers up (back of book). But that's just me. Overall, I like this puzzle book. I am on my third one.

I love working these crossword puzzles on real paper instead of on my computer screen. It's relaxing to sit in my porch swing and alternately doze off and then have to recall a word to plug in. The pages are perforated so you can easily tear them off as completed. I've gone through most of this series and always find it interesting how some of the themes change with our changing times.

A challenging compilation of crossword puzzles. Not at the level of the NYT Sunday puzzles but close. They make you dig into your memory and knowledge.

I’m enjoying these fairly easy puzzles that don’t have a lot of people’s names and books I’ve never heard of.

This is one of the best Crossword puzzle books I have ever bought. Unlimited themes, easy-to-read clues, and 300 puzzles to solve! Along with the option of removing any of the perforated pages, it becomes a ‘portable’ pastime to enjoy.

I have given this book a 5 star rating, based on previous books in this series I bought this puzzle book so that I would not miss out on its availability, I have bought several of these books in the past and recommend them highly. I have not completed all the puzzles in the last book and I am looking forward to when I begin this book.

It's good but after doing a few books like this, they all seem the same. Still good though but there's a lot of familiar questions.

Simon and Shuster crossword puzzle books are the best. The paper is great for pencils and the perforations make it easy to use on a clip board.
