Happy to Be Me!: A Kid Book about Self-Esteem (Elf-Help Books for Kids)

Great book especially for children who are different
My neice is biracial and had a problem with someone telling her she was ugly. She's never been told that - in fact, I reminder her that a coupld of days before we had gone to Sams Club and four people stopped to tell her how beautiful she was. My telling her didn't really help. She read the book and the teacher went into the bathroom with her but the girl was there and now she's gone in there herself not afraid. Thanks.

Happy To Be Me.
My daughter has SPD (sensory processing issues) and this is a great book to help her with her self esteem, to help her know and feel she isn't the only kid to have the same feelings she does. She reads this book and many others we have and she feels validated and more centered. A great book!

Building self esteem one child at a time
I truly believe that high self esteem makes all the difference in the world. I bought this book for my 7 yr old twins. I'm sure they will understand what it means to have high regard for themselves for reading this book over and over.

Just what was needed
I bought this for my nephew who's 7 and is dealing with issues of self-esteem/ confidence. The book presents it's points and advice in a way that is easily assimilated. I'm extremely happy with the purchase as it fit my needs and was shipped in a timely manner.

Great book
Good messages that made my son smile. Can be read daily for positive affirmations. I recommend highly for parents who need to remind their kids daily how special they are.

This is good for little ones!
My daughter did enjoy reading book. I just wish it was a story, and not little different stories. The delivery was fast. Thank you

Great advice and pictures but references to God may not be appropriate for your readers.
I absolutely adore the pictures in these elf help books. The message is generally good to for my line of work but does often contain reference to God which is not always appropriate for working with a multi-ethnic population. I tend to change the word god to mum/dad/nan/love instead when reading it out. May be fine if working in a church school.

Did not like this book, kept mentioning God.

A Good Series
This is a wonderful series of books which takes the stress out of explaining some difficult subjects to your kids. God is brought into it a bit too much for my liking at a time when Mum & Dad are more important

This is a cute book; however, I wasn't expecting the religious references....this caused a completely different conversation from what I intended.
