I refused to buy them as I watched them soar anywhere from $95.00 to $115.00 and after patience(stubborness) they dipped down back under $65.00. So victory in my own mind and I ordered away.I didnt buy these shoes for walking, running or truthfully any kind hiking, instead I was looking for a casual Khaki pant/ Cargo short type of comfortable shoe. Very fast shipping in original Merrell box and I have to admit the shoes actually looked better then I had expected. I have been wearing Merrell's for years and frankly I was down on them (Chameleon's) but decided to take a chance here. I am happy with the quality and overall look and I know they will work for what I bought them for. As for fit I will say they fit like a 10 and have plenty of room in the toe area with that balanced wider look. If I had to mention anything about the shoes I would say after wearing them a few weeks, the heel does slide up and down alittle bit as the heel area seems like it is cut alittle low to me but I would not recommend going down a half size as they fit perfect everywhere else. Right away, one of the laces frayed at the end, and Merrell had no replacements available. They were always a bit heavy and hot, but the material got very stiff after some outdoor hikes. Typically a bulkier shoe would have a tradeoff in more cushioning, but there's hardly any of that here either. They are slightly heavy compared to most of the tennis shoes or dress shoes that they rotate with in my day to day, but less so than many Merrells.
