As a proud American, my eyes have always looked upon our flag as an extraordinarily beautiful banner. God bless Betsy Ross! I love the flag and the Anthem at the Olympics and football games, flying high and waving proudly atop flagpoles on windy days, and always on my sailboat in my younger days. And on chilly mornings at reveille during my army days--the bugle call still reverberates in the memory cavity of my ears. While the flag is a potent reminder of our liberty, I live in a college town where, if the students prevailed, there would be no American flags on campus! But then, from 1776, has not Liberty often been under siege. And as for liberty's proud banner, "long may she wave." Which is where the flag pin gains its significance. As for the pin, it's quite sturdy. The wonderfully, vibrant colors are nicely detailed, and the flag is attached by the familiar stick-through pin and slide-on clip, which should hold fast in any material. However, it might be a bit heavy for very thin garments.

These are made in China and I find that disturbing but have not been able to do better. these pins look great and work fine. I bought 25 of them and placed each in a gift box for my board of directors. I had no quality issues with any of them. I chose this version- the wavy flag as opposed to the square one but last night saw Obama with the square version. Looked good, but I like these better.

This is a great lapel pin and a good price. My son was a moderator at a debate and wanted a USA lapel pin. I looked several places and couldn't find one. .This came in quickly and was exactly what we wanted. For this price its ok if he only wears it one time.

I bought three different US flag pins because I wasn't sure of the quality or which design I'd like. I really like having more than one so when I wear a suit I can alternate between pins. These are made well and look great. Highly recommend for the price.

It's a nice little pin. I got it for a costume, and it will definitely do the trick. The pin was NOT a sticker, it was carved into the metal.
