Volcanics Window Privacy Film, Stained Glass Rainbow Cling, 23.6" x 78.7"

The rainbow privacy film is very pretty and easy to install. I specifically went with this brand because they provide all the needed tools. I mostly wanted this film to help reduce the heat coming into our living room and so far our AC has been able to get down an extra 2 degrees! Privacy isnt 100% but enough blur to feel comfortable keeping the blinds open all day. The quality is nice and slightly thick but was able to cut it easily with regular scissors and the provided exacto knife. I also love that the grooves are textured like stain glass and not just printed on. For application, I used my own spray bottle of water rather than the provided one, and a little soap to spray the window and film before applying. The provided squeegee got out all of the bubbles with ease. Only took me around 10 minutes to do an entire glass door with 2 rolls of film. Be aware that if you are applying to a north or south facing window that you wont get much of the rainbow effect due to lack of direct sun rays, but its still pretty. Highly recommend!

Great stuff - got the blackout version and it blocks the light 100% wherever you put it. Love it. I got a new monitor a few months back, and have a high half-moon shaped window directly behind me in my front door, which faces west, so the sun was always glaring in on my computer screen every day for the few hours before sunset (except on super cloudy or rainy days). I have extremely light sensitive eyes, and even though my monitor has a glare-free coating, the glare has been brutal and headache inducing. (Plus, the anti-glare coating on modern monitors is not all that fabulous honestly - I miss the truly matte monitors of old that didn't cost multiple thousands of dollars like they do now.) Since this stuff was a SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper solution than getting a crazy expensive new monitor, I ran with it and am so glad I did. It is pure black almost all the time. I do have daylight LED light bulbs for nighttime, and that's when the rainbows show up beautifully on the inside. I don't know how well the rainbow/holo coating would work with regular incandescent or fluorescent lighting but it definitely shows up with your normal daylight LED light bulbs on in the evening. Mine are 4500 temperature range, maybe 5000? They aren't the soft 2700 or 3000 warmer temp ones - those ones drive me batty because my eyes see everything as "dingy" with them - probably due to my eye issues. Anyway so yeah these are fabulous but the holo/rainbow effect requires good indoor lighting to see it. Otherwise, it's just solid black but it absolutely does it's job of blocking out 100% of the light!! So simple. So effective.

**update one month later- I have not had to reapply or adjust these on the window at all. They are still perfectly adhering to the window, and the beautiful rainbow colors around the bathroom during sunrise every morning adds a little magic and joy to starting off the day. We will be buying more to cover other windows now that we know the quality we will be getting.** I felt a little overwhelmed before I applied them to the windows but the reality is you don't need to be-these are very forgiving if you make a mistake. I thought they might stick to themselves if they curved in, like wall stickers/decals often do, but these don't have that issue at all. It came with a long sheet that I cut in half, then trimmed a bit off on the sides. It did come with a small utility knife, squeegee and a handle (you have to put them together), and a cute tiny spray bottle. I added 2 drops of dawn dish soap to the spray bottle and filled it with water. The bottle was enough for my to cover one window and one half of the sheet. (My windows are 15"wide and 42"high. The smallest sheet covered most of each window pane). After spraying the window, I removed the back sheet of the window cling and sprayed it down and lined it up as best as I could with the window. It was very easy to adjust and the reward center in my brain actually enjoyed using the squeegee to push out all the bubbles. The top of one side is just barely off the window but it hasn't peeled or seemed like an issue and it has been up for almost 12 hours. They've held up to shower steam, the windows being opened and closed. One side developed a few air bubbles that came right out. If any issues develop I will come back and edit my review but so far we are incredibly happy with the added privacy. ( I included a picture I took at night with the bathroom light on.I just stuck my phone out of the window and snapped a picture so this is what you see just arms length away.)

This is one of my favorite home purchases ever. I am sure I will be purchasing more in the future for more windows and more homes too. It was easy to install. Everything you could possibly need is included. Instructions are easy. Privacy is pretty good. Of course, certain times of the day or at night w/light on in room it’s still fairly easy to see in. It does help substantially and I like that it still lets plenty of lighting throughout the day while adding increased privacy. The prisms it can create on the wall are a fun bonus! As seen in one pic, peels off easy when messed with (courtesy of a 1 year old with also thinks it’s pretty). But secure when left alone.

Really easy to install (those years in retail of hanging window displays really paid off) and looks great! Tips for those that have never installed a cling or window decal: 1. Take your time - don’t rush because then you’ll make mistakes and end up with bubbles or peeling edges. 2. Use a proper spray bottle with soapy water - the little bottle that’s included will only frustrate you. 3. Measure and cut first - help reduce your blood pressure and stress. 4. When smoothing out bubbles / excess soapy water - start at the top and work down! Also, start smoothing in the middle; work any bubbles or water out towards the edges. Anyways, a pleasing way to keep others from seeing inside when I want the blinds open. I used about 4 rolls to cover my sliding glass door. Also very pretty to look at and my cats can’t use them to parkour from.

Absolutely LOVE this - probably one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while. I live in an apartment, and our windows look directly to the parking lot, and there’s a lot of foot traffic. We wound up having to have the blinds closed all the time because curtains didn’t offer enough privacy and kids would constantly peek through our windows. Lo and behold, our friend introduced us to these! Due to our lease, we can’t attach them to the windows so I can’t attest to their adhesion, but we were able to pin them to the sides of the walls to make a second window or solid curtain, and it works AMAZING! You get the same beauty of the light coming in, especially with the rainbow pattern, and it lets light in without sacrificing privacy! I’ve tried to peek in from outside and you can’t see it! Not only that, but since we don’t have it directly on the windows, it’s practically invisible from outside as well. All you see is the reflection of the parking lot. They’re nice and thick, they feel very durable, and they are easy to pin up and they stayed perfectly straight. (Of course they can bend, but there’s no worry about creasing or awkward folds.) To clarify, we got permission to put them up as long as they weren’t attached to the windows themselves in any way, and I’m so glad this worked! We will definitely be getting more for the rest of our windows!

I’ve ordered this window film a few times for multiple windows. It’s very easy to apply and a great quality. It lets in a great amount of sunlight that shines a beautiful rainbow, while protecting our privacy.

The stained glass design is cool, but unfortunately towards the tail end of the roll there were some visible distress marks from the manufacturing process, almost like scratches? I ended up installing the film anyways. For some reason mine also did not come with a squeegee/scraper, just the blade and mist bottle (which was nice to have). I also found the installation to be rather hard, especially with how tight the roll was. The film wanted to curl up and peel off of the window. I used this to help prevent the sun from blaring in through the sunroof of my car. It does block a bit of light which is nice. I would probably go with a bigger size next time so I can do it all in one piece

Zunächst einmal war ich vor dem Bestellen sehr irritiert, dass einige Rezensionen den Halt der Folie kritisieren. Bei dem Preis habe ich trotzdem zugeschlagen und es nicht bereut. Wichtig ist, dass keine Seifenlösung sondern eine Lösung aus Wasser und NEUTRALREINIGER verwendet wird. Durch den NEUTRALREINIGER (ich habe den günstigsten bei Edeka gekauft) kommt es zu keiner Schlierenbildung. Außerdem ist es wichtig die Glasscheibe vorher ordentlich zu reinigen und zur Not auch mit einem Ceranfeldkratzer grobe Verunreinigungen zu entfernen. Danach sollte die Scheibe mit der Lösung großzügig benetzt werden --> das erkennt man daran, dass die Folie sich auf der Scheibe bewegen lässt. Danach muss von innen nach Außen die Lösung herausgedrückt werden. Ich habe dafür einen Duschabzieher genommen. Wenn man das ordentlich macht, dann lässt sich die Folie nicht mehr verschieben. Mit einem Cuttermesser habe ich danach die Enden abgeschnitten und nochmal alles schön mit dem Duschabzieher bearbeitet. An einer Seite wollte die Folie tatsächlich nicht halten. Das lag daran, dass diese bei der Lieferung auf einer Rolle aufgerollt wird und die Folie sich am Ende leicht gewölbt hat. Als Lösung habe ich die Enden auf die andere Seite vorsichtig geknickt wodurch die Folie dann wieder gerade war. Danach konnte ich diese problemlos befestigen. Übrigens lässt sich die Folie prima alleine anbringen und man hat mehrere Versuche, falls irgendwas misslingt oder man dennoch Dreck an der Scheibe finden. Die Folie ist wunderbar blickdicht aber trotzdem lichtdurchlässig. Zum UV-Schutz kann ich leider wenig sagen.

Artikel wie beschrieben. Das Anbringen ohne Luftblasen ist nicht ganz einfach, ich habe es schon bei mehreren solcher Folien nicht ganz ohne geschafft, störte aber nicht weiter. Vielleicht fehlt mir auch einfach die Geduld für perfektes Anbringen. Aber das liegt an mir, nicht an dem Produkt. Wenn möglich, besser zu zweit arbeiten. Es kommt wirklich viel Licht durch, ohne dass es durchsichtig ist, und die Regenbogen-Farbeffekte sind sehr nett.

I've just moved into a ground floor flat and needed my privacy so after looking at many other films and reading the reviews I chose this one and am very happy with my purchase. Look Ma I've got Rainbows.

When I received this, I initially had misgivings as to how much privacy they would actually give, since the film looks clear when you open it. I was afraid that if I cut the film to try it on my windows, I wouldn't be able to return it if it didn't give me the privacy I wanted. The company contacted me to check I had received my purchase safely, and they reassured me that I could try out the film, and that if not entirely satisfied, they would accept a return and give me a full refund - you can't ask for more than that! I was very pleased with the end result. I could say that the film gives at least 90% privacy. Someone would have to press their face up to the glass to try to peer in and even then, they wouldn't be able to see much. The colours you can see when sunlight hits the film are absolutely beautiful - I often catch myself admiring them throughout the day. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend this seller and product.

Lies sich ganz gut anbringen. Aus der Anleitung ging mir nicht ersichtlich hervor, welche Seite aufs Glas kommt. In der Anleitung steht " Bringen Sie die glatte Seite der Fensterfolie am Fenster an." Allerdings sind beide Seiten glatt. Ich habe die Seite ans Fenster getan, auf der sich die Folie befand. Man kann nach draußen gucken, aber von draußen nicht nach drinnen. Die Folie haftet bisher gut. Ansprechend fand ich, dass ein Cutter, ein Rakel, ein Sprüher und noch irgendetwas von dem ich nicht weiß was und wofür es ist, beiliegt. So hat man alles beisammen.
