Very High Quality, Versatile Piece!
Very high quality and intuitively adjustable piece. This was exactly what I needed to modernize the straight bass drum cymbal post mount on my 60’s Sonor Teardrop Drumkit. I needed a more substantial cymbal arm compared to the pencil thin vintage one so I drilled out the mount to accommodate the arm from a modern boom stand but then I needed to top it off with an adjustable cymbal holder that would give me a couple more inches to the left to accommodate a 22” ride and also allow me to achieve the proper tilt and angle toward my seated position and this one did the trick! Gibraltar hardware rocks!

Gibraltar quality
You really can’t go wrong with Gibraltar hardware. I had a cheaper Chinese clone, but the clamps didn’t hold, and the posts were a smaller, non-standard diameter. This one checks all the boxes. I’m using this clamp to add accessories, like cowbell, splash cymbal, and wood block to my super-portable Pearl Compact Traveler set.

It's Small But It Can Hold The Biggest Cymbal You Put On It!
After just buying a PDP drum rack with the side extension, I knew I was going to need a cymbal arm to hold my ride. So I started looking around and come across a few Gibraltar cymbal arms for racks. Well the description and video on their site said it's made for use with splashes and little accent cymbals and there was no word if it could be used with heavier cymbals like a 20" ride. Well I was a bit worried that it might be too small but after I compared a few of the arms to this one and considering that the lock on this arm looked more heavy duty than the one on the larger cymbal arm, I had a gut feeling this would hold up just fine and..... it does! I have the Sabian B8 performance pack for just something to start with, which are FANTASTIC starter cymbals BTW and this arm holds the ride without breaking a sweat. You could put one of the heaviest and biggest rides out there onto this arm and it wouldn't budge! So yeah I am very happy with it and the Gibraltar name! This review was to show that if you want a shorter arm to hold a heavy cymbal that there is no need to worry! Get it you won't be let down!

DW? Never heard of her.
Bruh! While the DW boom arms I had lasted 14 years, I'm so glad I didn't reinvest in the same. Save $20 and buy these instead. The felt pads are perfect. The boom arm is the perfect length. The tube is the perfect diameter. Everything just fits. You know what you get when you buy DW hardware? You get a product that you know a drummer with gorilla hands is going to be tightening down on. Their threading is worse than brake pads. With these boom arms, the threading is a little more gorilla hand friendly. Better if you can break the habit entirely; which I've done.In the pics, the Gibraltar boom arms are holding my two crash cymbals in the front.Probably gonna buy 2 more.

Strong and reliable
It does what I needed it to do.Used it on a Tama 18 inch club cocktail basket drum as a ride cymbal mount. Works perfectly, fold down lightweight, strong and reliable! Can't ask for more!

Versatile, heavy, needed a replacement
It looks and feels very sturdy like most Gibraltar hardware, but the first one came broken at the ball joint (plastic ball part), probably due to inadequate packaging (came in a bag). Amazon sent a replacement, and I'm very happy with it. You can use the whole thing as an over 3ft arm, or different parts of it. The bottom can be a 7/8 to 3/4 piece, the middle I use as a 3/4" extender (because my e-kit has that less common diameter booms). It's a little expensive in my opinion, but I got it on sale. Sizes of the 3 sections: bottom tube: 7/8" and 14" long, opening for 3/4. Middle: 3/4" and 16" long. Top: 3/4" and about 12" long.

Infinite adjustability and a perfect upgrade for any boom stand and/or or clamp with boom.
Not only are these boom arms super adjustable and mighty, but they are an affordable upgrade from current boom arm in use. No teeth, compression style braking on the tilter is a design win, offering no shortage of choices in very small increments unlike those designed with teeth -which offers way less actual degrees of angle. Replaced an older DW and works like a charm. Couldn't be happier - also affordable, lest I forget about that huge plus.

Great stand, great quality and great price
I purchased this cymbal stand to add a 10" Pintech crash cymbal to my Alesis Surge kit. Stand is crazy sturdy enough for playing and I haven't had any issues so far. I actually purchased another one for a 14" Pintech cymbal that should arrive tomorrow. The only negative thing I have to say about this stand is that it doesn't come with a clamp for electric kits. That's my only gripe and Gibraltar sells a excellent clamp for about $19 on Amazon and that's what I'm using to mount this stand to my drum rack now. I'm so satisfied that I purchased another stand and clamp for my 14" cymbal that's on their way!!!
